Quiet, friendly site. The warden was lovely

Site was beautifully kept, clean tidy and peaceful. Gordon the warden was warm friendly and very welcoming! Will 100000% be coming back to stay!

Stayed before , and returned due to peaceful location .

The families staying there were under the impression that they had the site to themselves. They did not react well to other people staying there and bullied and intimidated ourselves and 4 year old Grandson , until we felt we had to leave and allow them to have the place to themselves .

Good, basic campsite in quiet location at a reasonable price. Friendly, helpful warden.

Toilets are a bit dated, with only a single toilet, shower and urinal in the gents. If the site were full there would be queues

Beautiful location in a very peaceful part of the world. Tent pitches were good with electric hook ups.

Toilet block was tired and needing updated.No playpark for people with young children.

Excellent site in a great location. Very friendly and welcoming warden who was very positive and knowledgeable about what's about and how to get into Newcastle. Short walk from beautiful local village setting and river views. Also 20 minute direct train link to Newcastle every 15 mins. Clean toliets

As much as the toliets were clean and useable they could do with revamping. Showers were lovely and warm but pressure was so so now and again.

Friendly site in nice location with good pub within 15 minutes walk. Warden very friendly & helpful. Site has been recently (last 3 months) been taken over and some changes should be in place in the coming months.

Facilities Block is somewhat tired and perhaps too small, but is clean and well looked after. Some of the landscaping is a bit of a work-in-progress. No proper grey water drain point, and clean water fill up point was a bit of a faff as we didn’t have our own hose.
