The location just outside Ovingham was excellent. It was very easy to get to from the A69.
The site was well laid out, good sized hardstanding serviced pitches.
The site warden was outstanding, he was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.

The size of the toilet block. It was only designed for the sites previous use as a CL/CS site.

That aside it was immaculately clean, well maintained and the shower was hot.

I have used worse toilet blocks on UK campsites.

The warden gordon was very helpful. Pitches spaced out well. Good water/electric points, Great location for walking to Ovingham and prudhoe, shower block and washing facilities are a little dated but I think these are being refurbished in the near future. This has the potential to be a great site.

Cannot recommend this site. Old and damp facilities - overpriced

Location of the site. We’ll within walking distance of the local village and rail and bus network.

Toilet block was awful. Even the Romans would have marched on past it!! Needs to be raised to the ground and rebuilt. There was some development going on (but that seems to have been the case for several years) so hopefully that will result in a better toilet block and more hard standing pitches.

The warden was very helpful but clearly not very busy as at times he could appear over helpful bordering on intrusive.

The website needs to have clear directions on how to get to the site off the A69 as only one way (via Wylam) is realistic. We approached from Ovington which resulted in a bus having to reverse 1/4 mile!!

We would go back as long as the site facilities improved.

Storm Bert was coming and the news was advising not to travel - this was more pertinent for us, towing a caravan and travelling with children. We rang to ask if we could transfer to another date and were told, probably no but to email in. Our email has been ignored. We have had weather issues before with smaller campsites and they have always been understanding and have let us move to a different date. We have never asked for or expected a refund.
