Fantastic site , in great location. Met on arrival by Gordon, the warden and he couldn't have been more helpful. Set nestled in between two nice villages. New toilet block was great. Lovely pubs within walking distance with lots of food options.

Nothing to dislike, only thing to make better would be onsite shop, or basics available at reception.

Beautiful field and lovely new facilities. Also the park warden was such a lovely and helpful gentleman. Surroundings amazing too. City facilities from Newcastle nearby and beautiful nature scenery on the doorstep.

The new shower and toilet facilities were great, calm atmosphere and about a mile drive from a shop and pub but could easily walk there along the country road as there was a pathway from the site into ovigham. Town over the river had good amenities, supermarkets takeaways and a B&M when I realised I'd forgotten my foot pump 😆👍🏻
Site had no person on at reception but I was given a code to access the campsite and we pitched up and had no other interactions with the site owners
Excellent value for money for non electrical camping and plenty space.
Laudrette onsite and sinks to wash dishes with constant hot water

I would have loved a shop on site but this is not a dislike more a wish that you had!

G has the place running smoothly he’s a very valued member for the site. Reward him as he is an amazing support element.

Need more toilets and showers but the ones you do have are lovely. I would suggest moving Elsa’s toilet cleaning close to main toilet/ shower block for ease and centralised functionality.

Despite being close proximity to a road, but safe and sheltered from it, it was a lovely quite little camp site for my family in a tent.
The amenities have definitely had a recent uplift and are excellent, but quite limited in numbers. We never had to wait for them though.
The chap looking after the place, Gordon, was brilliant. He was friendly, always willing to help, easy to contact and very professional. I don't think I saw him have any help or downtime while we were there, so thank you Gordon for all your hard work.

My daughter mentioned about the shower not having enough hooks to hang her clothes up.

Everything. Check in was smooth, the warden was a great lad, very informative, helpful and funny. The site itself was very well cared for and facilities were basic, but I believe new ones are in the process. Would definitely return.
