With Christmas just two and a half weeks away, why not make the most of the festive season by heading off on an outdoor glamping getaway in the UK to a cosy cabin or hut? Equipped with the likes of log burners, hot tubs and firepits for roasting chestnuts – there’s no better way to enjoy the festive holiday.

Cwmcoedog Farm, Ceredigion: from £6.25 per person per night

Lampeter, Ceredigion: has availability on its camping pods at Cwmcoedog Farm this Christmas with prices starting from £25 per night based on four people sharing (£6.25pppn).

In a wooded valley near the town of Lampeter, Cwmcoedog Farm is set on a working farm in the beautiful Welsh countryside. Guests will find plenty of entertainment close by such as the award-winning Folly Farm, Dolaucothi Gold Mines and Tenby's Dinosaur Park. Alternatively, guests can stay on site to enjoy a glass of wine in the hot tub while the kids are occupied in the outdoor play area or on the trampoline.

There are three plush pods at Cwmcoedog Farm, one with a double bed settee and the others with single beds, all come with electric hook-up and access to a smart bathroom pod with shower, loo and washing facilities. Guests can also use the laundry room with washer/dryer, drying area and secure bike storage.

Woodland Park Camping Huts, Shropshire: from £10.00 per person per night

Escape the little niggles and stresses of Christmas at this peaceful hideaway that has just five cosy camping huts set around a woodland pond. Children will love trying to spot badgers, squirrels, foxes, kestrels and buzzards, as well as sitting around the campfire listening out for hooting owls. The pretty market town of Ellesmere is just a five-minute drive away.

The well-maintained huts range in size from four- to nine-berth and all come with wooden bunk beds and ample living space. The snug accommodation also has benches, a table, worktops for preparing food, and electricity. Each hut has a picnic bench outside and a firepit overlooking the pond, providing the ideal setting for roasting chestnuts and singing Christmas carols! The loo and shower block is located near the huts with lashings of hot water available to warm guests on a cold winter’s day. 

Bluebell Farm, Worcestershire: from £25.00 per person per night

Worcestershire, Upton upon Severn: has availability on its shepherd's huts at Bluebell Farm this Christmas with prices starting from £100 for a two-night stay based on two people sharing (£25.00pppn).

The lovely Bluebell Farm is located a mile from Upton upon Severn with its pubs, restaurants and shopping opportunities. This beautiful part of the country has plenty of history to uncover, as well as many walks along the river and meadows for those who love to explore the countryside.

The shepherd’s huts have a double sofa bed, a table, a log burner, electric lights, a gas hob, armchair, sink and a small toilet. The main toilet and bathroom block is just a short distance away.
