What customers say

This top-rated, family-friendly campsite boasts clean facilities, ample pitches, and great entertainment. Guests rave about the pool, playgrounds, and staff. While kids' activities and cleanliness are lauded, some mention WiFi woes, noise, and activity costs. Location's good, though a car is handy due to remoteness.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely site. Lots for the kids to do. Outdoor pool is a nice feature.

Disliked The inflatables are too expensive at £4 per turn.
There are not enough toilets/showering facilities for the amount of people visiting during the summer months even showering at 9pm involved a queue.
Children who cannot swim are not allowed in the deeper part of the pool which is annoying as I was not able to spend time with my family as a whole as we have a 4 year old who is unable to swim. Even with arm bands he was not allowed to enter the larger side of the pool.
The wooded path leading from Fir has a lot of dog faeces on the ground, which I know is the owner’s responsibility but still not pleasant.

Disliked The dog poop all over site ! Everywhere we went we had to dodge it !
Showers were far too hot to the point where we couldn’t shower my little girl as it scalded her….
The food in bar freezing cold sent back a couple of times
Awful smell coming from pool area but only on first day not sure if works were being carried out.
Couldn’t get in reception on phones

Electric grass pitch

Liked Not very much to like here.

Disliked This is a very large complex with caravans motorhomes and tents crammed in all over the place. Very untidy looking site. Couldn’t empty toilet cassette as waste point blocked. Far too many dogs unleashed. Over priced cost to add daughter and grandchildren for two nights staying in our caravan. Worst site I’ve ever experienced. Definitely won’t return here.

Local attractions

Cornwall’s coastline and beaches are pretty much legendary, but Newquay (10 minutes) is world-famed for its surf and nightlife too. It’s a party town from daybreak until well after dark and the surf's so good they hold international competitions here – check out Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay. Perranporth (10 minutes) is the place to head for a more relaxed beach day, though it’s very popular so best to get your towel down early. The beach here is a fab spot for dog walking, rolling up the trousers for a paddle or lazing around and copping a look at the views. The Eden Project (35 minutes) has the UK’s most realistic rainforest, full of rare plant species and exotic butterflies, as well as a pretty nifty Mediterranean biome. Daredevils can also have a go on England’s longest zipwires – or head over to Flambards in Helston (45 minutes) for flumes, rollercoasters and go karting.
