What customers say
A "back to basics" campsite with a vibey, friendly atmosphere and lekker views. Staff are helpful, bar's quirky, and there's live music and food. Some find the basic loos and showers a bit much for longer stays. Weekends can be noisy. Good for a social, no-fuss camp.

Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lovely chilled site, exactly as described. Perfect if all you need is a field, a loo and cold clean running water - which does us just fine. We stayed 4 nights mid week, fantastic location just 15 mins from Halifax and Hebden, visited Piece Hall and a lovely trip to the MANY cafes in Hebden! Walks on your doorstep - we did Stoodley Pike, fab views. We only wish we were staying for the weekend as the little bar looked ace and we would have loved the live music - good excuse to come back I reckon.

Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Really friendly atmosphere. Back to basics campsite with loads of lovely people! Gorgeous little bar with ace beer!
I had read reviews about the toilets being bad but when I was there they were serviced regularly and were well stocked. They also had hand sinks and hand soap! Ace for a portaloo
Disliked Off lead dogs was a bit of a pain. There are plenty of signs around so not the campsites fault!

What a fantastic campsite! It has…
Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked What a fantastic campsite! It has such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere with beautiful views and a choice of different fields to camp in. We especially loved the quirky, hippy-inspired bar and the cosy seating areas dotted around near reception, they really added to the charm of the place.
The toilets, which were conveniently located around the site, were cleaned regularly and kept in good condition.
There was a wedding taking place during the weekend we visited, so the campsite was a little busier than usual. However, it didn't affect our stay at all, if anything, it added to the great atmosphere and made the weekend even more enjoyable!
Disliked As others have mentioned, this place would be a 10/10 for me if it had showers, I’d probably be back most weekends! 😂 I'm definitely someone who likes to feel clean when camping, so that's the only thing I felt was missing.
Other than that, it's an amazing campsite with a fantastic atmosphere, and I'd happily recommend it to anyone.
One small thing to be aware of: the access roads are very steep and quite pothole-ridden, so take it slow if you're driving in.

Down to earth hippy site, great location for Hebden Bridge visiting
Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked A proper hidden gem site. We went when Shedrock Fest was on- the onsite pub was full, the acts were great, drinks were affordable and we had a great time- then back to our pitch where we couldn't hear the music! Staff are really helpful too.
Disliked Toilets could be improved- even a compostable toilet would be an upgrade

Liked Attractive scenery. Very reasonable prices. Handy for Calder Valley if driving or using nearby bus service or taxi. We used it as a low cost base for a gig at Halifax Piece Hall. Quiet at night. Laid back vibe
Disliked Facilities not great, portaloos only but these were kept clean
