  • Adults-only site in scenic and peaceful Derbyshire countryside
  • A 10-minute drive from Carsington Water and 15 from the Peak District
  • Well-maintained amenities including shower block and communal kitchen
Pick a pod at peaceful Poplars Farm to guarantee a hol without any kids about… This adults-only glamping park is in a quiet part of Derbyshire and a 10-minute drive from Carsington Water on the southern edge of the Peak District National Park for grownup activities ranging from fly fishing to birdwatching. Pretty countryside is all around for strolls straight from the site, perhaps towards one of the two pubs serving food (as well as a whole host of topnotch ales) within a couple of miles…? Alternatively, make your way to Carsington Water for popular pastimes like canoeing, windsurfing and cycling. In the evenings, fire up flames on the firepit or grilled up a meal on the barbecue: quiet nights are guaranteed for afterwards rest thanks to the strict no-noise policy during sleeping hours. The next morning, make breakfast in the site kitchen and pore over the information leaflets provided by the site while deciding what’s on the itinerary for the upcoming day. Will it be the trips to market towns, historic houses, museums and vintage railways that are easily had around Ashbourne and the Peak District? Or Alton Towers (for there’s no reason why adults should miss out on the rides…) half an hour’s drive away? Poplars Farm has excellent amenities including three toilets and two showers in the shared blocks, plus cooking, washing-up and clothes washing/drying facilities. There’s a shop in the village for essentials and a bus stop outside the farm if you'd like to ditch the car for the day.
