Liked Nothing not to like . Liked everything. Spacious fields anywhere to pitch up without restrictions to a certain spot. Toilets immaculate. Place where you can use your shower . There's a urinal . There's a communal fire pit, aswell as using the sites firepits for your pitch. And there's buckets of water for safety to dampen out fires or put one out if your fire sets light to the bone dry ground. There's a games area with inventive games made out of wood, chess, draughts, dominoes. Staff are friendly and approachable and made an effort to approach my car when I arrived to guide me to where things were . Its only open from July to Aug so make the most of this beautiful site. Liked Loved the campsite. Clean and tidy . It was peaceful with beautiful views over the cornfields. Toilets were clean and tidy. Water easy to get too. Pitches were large and spacious. Didn't see the owners maybe from a distance didn't acknowledge us. Otherwise would have gotten a 10. There are fire pits you can use and firelighters and logs to buy using QR code.

Liked Plenty of space to pitch up. Plenty space inbetween pitches. Everything left to be natural i.e the meadow apart from driveways and paths cut for access . Clean toilets. Clean showers , one can use power rechargeable shower or pump shower, highly recommend the power shower . Warm water for washing up and sink to use . Water easy accessible and cleanly signed . Sweet little hut where u can loan a book or look at what to do around area . They also have picnic tables to use and have a large chess set and noughts and crosses to pass the time. Also they have wood kindling and firelighters for sale. They provide a fire pit on each pitch .Me my brother and miss freckles the greyhound highly recommended this site . Our all time favourite.

Liked Delightful small camping site. Only has about 12 pitches but has the most amazing views across the Durham Countryside. The owner supplied us with enough for its price should have been 1 night , but so much wood it lasted 5 nights. Toilet and Shower facilities adequate and clean for site this size. One of the showers was not working , owner came straight out and dealt with it . Very friendly owner. Only one minor problem is coming off main road onto site which can be sharp , so make sure to indicate well before turning .Otherwise highlr recommended.

Liked We loved it so much that instead of staying for 1 night we stayed for another 4 nights. We knew that there was a toilet on sight but no shower facilities which we managed with with body washes next to our tent. Peaceful tranquil next to a fishing lake, plenty of bird life to witness on the lake and highland cattle nearby as well as the sound of the lambs nearby which made a refreshing change from cars lorries and motorbikes sounds. Delightful pitches with Wooden picnic tables on each pitch as well as a fire pit [which we made use of every night}. Delightful owners who went out of their way to help. If you can look by the no showers then i highly recommend this site . You wont be disappointed.

Liked Friendly staff. Pub next to campsite. Facilities great, nice shower . Ample space. Weren't disturbed by other campers or staff.

Disliked Trains go by regularly. Dogs chained up outside in kennels barked for over a hour .

Liked Peaceful, quiet , lots of space for tent pitch . Pitches cut for easy pitch up of tents the remainder of the meadow left to grow naturally ( a beautiful thing ). Toilets well lit up . Clean and easy to get too . Never used shower. Lovely little shop with items to buy or borrow. Lovely little seating areas to play chess or noughts and crosses . Friendly staff , sold me wood and gave me firelighters to start my fire . Water accessible . Highly recommend camp site .

Liked Friendly staff who guided us to where we could pitch our tent . Excellent toilet and shower facilities. Clean and hygienica. Washing up area outside with hot and cold water . Easy accessible drinking water tap. A small shop selling home made products i.e oats milk. Bricks provided to put fire pit on . There was their factory next door , heard little noise as camping fenced off.

Disliked Only 1 thing what I found wrong was one of the showers wasn't giving out hot water .

Liked Plenty of space to put ones tent and car/s. Will supply fire pit and logs. No reception area as its a pop up park . Owners friendly and approachable. Facilities like amenities- toilets clean and sink areas good with mirrors . Shower/showers adequate although one works better than the other and there's only one outer door to be locked for both showers.

Disliked Washing up area adequate although only providing cold water( i just used hot water from toilet block) . Didn't like quad bikes zooming up and down hill. Was going to pack up at midnight 2nd night as was awoken by combine harvesters and tractors blaring lights into my tent. This went on all night ( so got no sleep). Credit to the owner he didn't know this was going to happen and he should have been forewarned. Wasn't offered any kind of monetary compensation for the inconvenience of tractors and combine harvesters keeping us awake .
