Liked Loved the bothy. Gorgeous brick hut with lovely log burner and very cute mezanine bedroom. Nice shower too. Tim and catherine were fabulous hosts and great characters. The barn is a great extra shared space for larger family groups.

Liked View, pitch, wood burner, spotless toilets, brilliant showers, friendly chickens, rustic dining room, location, stars and clear sky, local beach and very friendly and efficient owners.

Liked Pod set up, camp site was arranged to all the kids can play in the middle together, making new friends was easy.

Disliked Toilet block was clean but very agricultural. Shame there is only one shower

From the manager: Many thanks for your review and we're pleased that you enjoyed yourselves. There are actually three shower (two of which are in the Ladies toilets, and one large shower room for the gents, all three of which we have been told are hot and powerful), which according to regulations is more than enough for the amount of people that we have on site. As regards the toilet block being 'agricultural', it is a farm camp site, and a brand new brick built building would not be in keeping with the surroundings.

Liked Beautiful location in countryside. It's a field with some picnic benches and a pub next door (didn't try the pub this time) it has the cleanest porta potty I have ever seen, and a pristine toilet and shower that looks like it has come out of a home rather than on a camp site. We were the only people staying here, and it was exactly what we wanted. The owner was really lovely, as were her two grandchildren.

Liked The site is an old quarry, so it is covered in trees and quarry areas. It's in a beautiful location and the site was very quiet. We went August 10th for two nights for a family reunion. We stayed on the bottom field 7. There was only one other tent. It is just a flat clean field in the middle of trees and hills in an old quarry. Very peaceful and tranquil. My 4year old enjoyed exploring the woods and playing football. The play area is good too. The showers were excellent with individual rooms and were very clean and spacious. Local takeaway was also great value for money, and they will deliver to the site.
