Liked A wonderful original site. Small and very welcoming. It was like visiting a good friend and camping in their garden. We will definitely visit again. Merci Marc and Pascale

Liked The grass field was lovely, spacious and private. Facilities were clean, modern and within easy reach.
Disliked Not really a dislike but finding the place whilst relatively straightforward requires an act of faith as there are no road signs between Chirk and Ceiriog village which is just short of the site itself.

Liked David, Zac and the rest of the team could not have been more helpful. They have clearly put in a lot of work since our short visit last year just after opening. The ongoing work can only improve things further.
There is a restaurant bar on site which gives a good option if you don't fancy cooking and serves good food at a fair price.
We had a choice of pitches which were all flat and a choice of sunny or shaded.
The location is wonderful by the banks of the Nivernais canal with lots of good walking, climbing and cycling on the doorstep.

Liked John couldn't have been more helpful ! We had a choice of pitches which were all large and reasonably private. A very handy stopping off point close to channel ports either for a first night or on return. The site is pretty basic but reasonable value for money.
Disliked There is no doubt the site is a bit neglected and looking a little sad, having said that we would use it again for an overnight stop. My biggest disappointment was the fact that the snack bar advertised by pitchup had been closed for some time. After a long hot days driving, this was a disappointment particularly as there are no alternatives without driving.

Power optional grass and earth campsite (XL)
Liked Everything ! What a gem of a site run by a lovely couple - Jeff and Daniel. The location by the River Tarn was ideal, quiet with just the right balance of modern facilities in a natural setting. Our pitch was flat and shaded with plenty of privacy. A short walk to the delightful village of Ambialet provides a bar with outside seating under a shady tree with cool beer and a simple tasty menu. The village also has bistro and an upmarket restaurant. The situation is perfect for exploring the Tarn river and Albi with lots of walking possibilities straight from the site.
Our only regret was that we had only booked two night, we hope to return.
