Seahouses, Northumberland, England
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Toilets and showers immaculate. Ideally located for the Northumbrian coast. Pitches all very level.
Disliked Bit of a hike (maybe because of the pitch we were allocated) to the toilets. Near a man with a hell of a snore (not the campsites fault, granted).

Bayeux, Calvados, France
Powered grass campsite
Liked Location is excellent for Bayeux, only a short walk in to the town.
Facilities are well maintained and cleaned daily.
A nice room available to sit and relax in if you’re going stir crazy in your van/tent.
Easy to drive to.
Disliked Site promoted visiting food trucks but there were none there or due when we visited (end of the season to be fair).

Saint-Amand-de-Vergt, Dordogne, France
Power optional forest floor RV campsite
Liked Spacious pitches and a lovely location next to a water sports facility.
The lake next door had a bar/restaurant which was only a short walk from the rear of the sight.
Disliked Site security felt a little lacking, with nothing stopping anyone from entering the site at the rear (that we could see).
The site staff weren’t really in evidence very often (it was the end of the season and the site was very quiet so perhaps this was understandable).

From the manager: Dear Jacqueline F We appreciate your comments and, as you mentioned, we are coming to the end of the season with unpredictable and rainy weather, which does not encourage holidaymakers to come and stay at our lovely campsite. We are open and available every day until 12/10 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., either at reception or on site, to winterise our tents and do end-of-season cleaning. Best Regards Katia The Manager

Venice, Venice, Italy
Green Area powered grass and gravel campsite
Liked Location. Really well placed for a boat ride in to Venice.
Disliked Little organisation of pitches, a free for all really, with some more selfish visitors parking wherever they felt like it.
Lots of flies and midges; nothing seemed to stop them feasting!
Camp staff very laissez faire.
