Swanage, Dorset, England
Primitive grass tent campsite (small)
Liked Everything.
It's on an unused golf course, you park the car, grab a wheelbarrow, ferry you stuff across a foot bridge and pitch your tent. Its bang in the centre of town, less than 5 minute walk and you are on the beach and sea front.
I booked no electric hook up, not sure if they do it. There where some bell tents, already pitched ,they might have electric. Site clean and quiet, wash block, sinks, toilets spartan but clean and tidy ( they give you your own loo roll on arrival) 😀. Cash only on the day I arrived not sure if that is the norm but in no hurry for payment. It's the little things that make this place excellent. Fridges and freezers, to store food (only issue was food can be moved around by other campers making room).Electric sockets to charge equipment and a nice area by reception to sit. No shop on site but canned drinks avalable.
Disliked Nothing

Weymouth, Dorset, England
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked My view.
Right at the end of the terrace, number 5, no electric hook up. Don't be put off by other reviews which talk about the lumpy ground. They have made a set of earth, covered in grass terraces ,which give each tent a completely flat area, as the hill slopes down ,great idea. Very quite, fantastic views.
Staff where very helpful on arrival and at the badger.
Disliked Nothing to dislike, showers hot, wash block clean and tidy, park kept clean. Service in the badger very good, food ok, hence the 8 instead of a 10, bulk standard fair.
Long walk down the hill to Weymouth, that's not a complaint, just to make people aware, I walk a great deal so it was fine, worth it to have some alchohol.
