Liked General setting was lovely, with lots of space between pitches etc. liked that we could have a campfire too. WC and shower Facilities were minimal but the chap who came to clean them left them spotless. Check in was simple and we could come and go as we pleased with the security of a secure gate access. Great value for money

Liked Facilities were well maintained and very clean.
Disliked Grass Pitches were dry and cracked. Not great for pitching on. Biggest issue is they have alarmed gates that are locked at 10.30. This meant we missed the local festival fireworks that we were hoping to see during our stay. As the gate had a code on it anyway, the curfew seemed a bit much

From the manager: Hi Jamie It's a shame you felt the need to leave this review because you missed the fireworks festival. With over half the site going to see the firework festival this prior weekend, I very much doubt the gates were the reason it was missed. Especially with me checking you in and explaining how to get into the site after 10:30 pm. 10:30 is not a curfew, simply just the last entry for vehicles, with there being an overflow car park and pedestrian entry at all times. This is not only for security, but also to reduce noise, and to prevent vehicles' headlights shining in units at ungodly hours. The cracks are neither a site issue nor a pitch issue; it has not rained since February, meaning the ground is dry... Kind Regards TDH

Liked The site was really well priced, and the staff on site were really helpful and friendly. Close to where we needed to be and the on site tea room was handy. Well kept touring pitches, and while the facilities were a little dated, they were all kept very clean and tidy.
Disliked Mens toilet facilities were a little dated and cramped. Also shower was 50p to use. No problem paying but I would prefer to pay a couple of pounds extra on the pitch price but have the showers free just so it's a little more convenient to use.

From the manager: Thanks for staying with us. All information about the charge for the showers is in the write up on pitch up. We keep our pitch prices as low as we possibly can so that everyone can enjoy a holiday and not pay extortionate prices. Our showers are charged at the minimum 50p for 5 minutes, while this my not be convenient for you, it helps keep our water bill down as some people/children leave the water running once they have finished and if no one notices it can be left on for hours at a time. Hope this helps you understand why we charge.
