Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Extremely helpful and friendly owners.
The site is not too busy.
The site is close to the motorway so, if you're bothered by road noise, this site isn't for you but I found the hum of traffic lulled me to sleep.
The facilities are basic but clean and improvements are on their way including an additional toilet block in the field.
Great location for Newport and only 30mins drive to Cardiff with a train station a 10mins walk away.

Liked Lovely budget site, very friendly and helpful owners, well placed.
You need to get electric on a card in multiples of £5 so make sure you have enough to last through the night (you can only top the meter up when it's actually run out).
The trains didn't bother me, they're not that loud but I could feel the vibrations.
Showers etc are clean and good and hot.
Disliked Having to cross muddy ground to get to the water supplies, they could do with some sort of gravel leading up to them.

Powered grass and gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Fabulous site with spacious pitches. Staff are fantastic, we were helped with an electric problem on my caravan on our arrival. Amenities block was cleaned regularly. As well as the play park, there's free crazy golf and bowls by the pub plus tabltennis tables (bats and balls have to be purchased for that. The dog was catered for too, it's dog friendly, including the pub restaurant and there's a big, secure field for off-lead exercise. My grandkids cried when we had to leave.
Disliked There are a lot of nettles in and around the play equipment that needs dealing with. A few children were stung by them
