Liked We loved the amazing views, the funny sheep, the cute cows, the hosts were super welcoming, the facilities were clean, modern and well maintained and the ground was perfect for tent pegs. The ground is ever so slightly sloped but we just changed the way our blow up beds were pointing and then it wasn't an issue at all. There is lots of room to play outdoor games, and it easy to find from the road with clear signage. It does say there is no signal but we found the 4G worked fine, apart from a few hours one day there was no signal or 4G but then it suddenly reappeared! We wanted to stay an extra night so the hosts made it happen, for which we are grateful! A lovely place to stay for 4 nights and we definitely will return next time we are in Devon visiting family!

Liked Quiet, small campsite. Lovely toilet/shower block, much more luxurious than other campsites we stayed at on our camping holiday across Cornwall! Very close to Mevagissey which was absolutely stunning. Signal was surprisingly good also! No complaints!

Liked We stayed at 3 campsites over the space of a week and Trerise Farm was our favourite by far! The farm animals were just so wonderful, and the fact that we could go and spend time with them whenever we felt like was such a lovely experience! Our daughter loved them. Especially the cheeky goats! The shed with the freezer and electric plug sockets were an actual dream, made life living in a tent much easier! The shower/toilet blocks were simple and clean, does what it says on the tin! It was such an easy going, relaxed vibe. No strict rules, but they made sure the group of bikers that were making a silly amount of noise our first night there, keeping the little ones awake, were not there for a second night! No messing about! The owners were lovely, and we got to experience pizza night, the pizza was delicious, the owners were working so hard to get the pizzas baked and out to us all, it was a lovely afternoon, a real community vibe! We are already planning to come back next summer, but for much longer! Super close to a few beaches as well! Oh, also, the view of the stars at night was absolutely spectacular, genuinely awe inspiring! Trerise Farm was a great place to do some epic star gazing!

Liked We loved Penvose Farm! The farm shop was so cute and well stocked, the owners were super friendly and helpful, the sign posts were easy to read and follow to find our pitch, the toilets and showers were clean, the play area for children was great our daughter loved it, it was a great location to camp with lots to explore nearby! We purchased 194 hours of wifi for £10 on my laptop so we could watch films etc and it was really good signal and never let us down. We also used the fishing lakes and caught some decent sized fish which my husband and daughter were over the moon about!

Disliked Nothing about Penvose Farms to dislike! The only things we struggled with - the gale force winds and multiple sporadic torrential downpours of rain were a bummer but that’s British weather for you! And there was some crazy loud music coming from somewhere in the middle of the night but we alongside the owners had no idea where it was coming from!

Disliked I want to start by saying that there is nothing wrong with having fun, I am not a Karen, I’ve done my time as a wild youth, I’ve done some mad things in my 30 years and have no regrets - everyone should enjoy their youth and get up to a bit of silliness at least once. However.. the people at this camp site were the most disrespectful, rude, rowdy bunch I’ve seen in a while. If I wanted to stay up getting absolutely trashed and listening to heavy bass music, I’d go to Butlins or Havens or my local dodgy pub or a rave, but that’s not what wild camping is for. This area is not advertised as a party camp site, but family friendly and relaxed. This could not be further from the reality of it. There were lots of families there but the children running around probably hadn’t seen their parents in days. My 9 year old daughter was told to f*** off by a 7 year old??? There were people who had set up a projector to watch films and play video games which, don’t get me wrong, is super cool, but why they felt the need to bring a subwoofer with surround sound that shook the ground and decided to watch films and play games (with loud automatic gun sounds) til past midnight is a mystery to me. I have been to drum and bass raves with better behaved people and cleaner toilets than this campsite. Again, I don’t want to stop people from running their liver into the ground, it’s their liver, you do you, not my business, but maybe if that is the kind of vibe this campsite is going for then advertise it a bit better! There was a young couple SCREAMING at each other till 4am on the Friday and a guy shouted at them to shut up and they literally just told him where to go (that’s putting it mildly) and carried on with their very loud argument. In summary; if you want a nice, peaceful, relaxing, quiet time away camping and enjoying nature - DO NOT book this site. If you want to go on a limitless bender and play loud amplified music and walk around a field with your mates singing Wonderwall and Sweet Caroline till you throw up everywhere, with absolutely no consequences whatsoever, then this is the place for you! It’s like Shameless, but in a field! Will be much more mindful of where we book for camping in future, and unfortunately will never be coming here again. It’s a shame as this could be a really beautiful place and we were so excited to spend the weekend immersed in nature but the people that were there ruined it entirely, and they seemed to be having so much fun (good for them) that I have no doubt they’ll probably be back next summer!
