Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Great little rustic campsite. We stayed 1 night & it was everything we needed. Pitches are spacious, the views over Whitby are INCREDIBLE. Loved the honesty caravan & the beehives. The chickens were super friendly and funny too. 100% would stay again if we needed a 1 night pitch. Excellent value for money. The toilets are compost which adds to the rustic wild feel. Not to everyone’s tastes BUT we knew that when booking and it was absolutely fine.
Disliked If you’re a biting bug magnet like me - come prepared with sprays & citronella! The grass is long and the mosquitos fierce! The toilet belongs to the spiders now.

Liked 4th time visiting this site. Still excellent value for money and a lovely family site. Toilets and showers are clean, fire pits can be rented for £32 including wood (you get £20 back as your deposit) they have pizza van on Fri-Sun & it’s been moved to a lovely spot in the trees with seating. 100% will be back
Disliked Nothing!

Small hillside primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Really friendly owners, and had a warm welcome & tour of the facilities. The pitches are small and enclosed by woodland around you, so you get some privacy but the views are amazing. We were surrounded by pink flowers and bumblebees! We borrowed a cart from the owners to help get our gear up the hill to the pitch.
Extra points for the neighbours cat “Tom Cheddar” coming to visit us every day! He spent the most part of one evening asleep on our camp bed to escape the rain!
Disliked Nothing! I can see why some may mention the hike up to the pitches - it is steep if you choose a top pitch. But it was worth it for the views. And the addition of being able to borrow the cart to get your gear up there was a helpful touch.

Liked The location was great. Nice flat pitch options, the working farm and animals surrounding were lovely. Decent facilities
Disliked Women’s showers water pressure was a literal trickle and cold. And it was a shame we also picked a weekend where a very noisy group of 20+ people had pitched up for a birthday. We would have moved our pitch had we been forewarned on arrival
