Midhurst, West Sussex, England
The Roughs primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The bucket showers- genius, peace and quiet, tree swings by the pitches.
Disliked The lack of fresh running water - a deal breaker for me sadly as it was a lovely site. Wasn't keen on the clay at the swimming lake either, but my son enjoyed it.

Thakeham, West Sussex, England
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The amazing variety of birdsong. The privacy of the pitches. The simplicity of the site. How relaxed and hands off the owners were, but were still an obvious presence needed. How easy it was to book a large party of campers and accomodate a couple of last minute folk without difficulty.
Disliked Road noise after the birds stopped singing.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. I am very pleased you enjoyed the site. The birdsong is spectacular at this time of year! Apologies for the road noise, it is very much wind dependent. Some days you can't hear it and some days you can. I look forward to your next visit! Kind regards Paul

From the manager: Hi - I'm so sorry you didn't realise where the toilets were. And my 'out of order' sign for that toilet kept blowing off. I'll be glad when the house is built too :)
