Powered grass and gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Akebar Park has to be one of our favourite site to visit locally.
Beautiful location lots of walks and lots of places to visit only a short drive away.
The site is and pitches are well kept grass well maintained.
The pub is much improved since our last visit a few years ago (food wise I mean)
we will return to this site many more times I hope.
Great park for the kids
Disliked Sorry just been honest.
We were on the touring pitch and the lighting was almost none existent for our full stay.
the WiFi worked near the shower block but our motorhome 30ft away got no signal at all and phones no signal or mms, the site is a dead zone for mobiles.
The shower block is not the worst we have used but is in need of a full refit, the showers trickled but nice and hot and cleaned regularly 1 shower and 1 toilet not in use throughout our stay.
the crazy golf was covered on wood Bark would take 15 mins to sweep it, yes its the kids who kick the bark all over it but as I say wouldn't take long to keep tidy with a leaf blower or brush.
On our stay kids were hanging around the toilet block on a due poor lighting around the touring pitch, Older people fret about things like this.
kids in and out of the shower block with bikes leaving tyre marks on the floor.
You have to feel for the staff some feral unsupervised kids.
Finally some guests should never own a caravan or motorhome if they cant keep the shower blocks tidy, one night I went to the loo 1st toilet full of poo 2nd full of toilet paper 3rd ok.
So I cleaned them 11pm some people are just animals. not the staffs fault.

Liked We enjoyed the site overall the weather wasn't the best so was a bit muddy but no different than any other site in the UK.
The Cafe served nice food proper home cooked none of this microwave rubbish.
Overall a good stay no complaints about the site.
The biker clubs and bikes were amazing to watch from their amazing bikes to the clothing they wore Jackets with names and logos.
I'm not a biker if I was I would take me and my fiancée there for a trip out Just to be part of the atmosphere.
Squires cafe/bar is a welcoming place for anyone.
Thank you all for our stay.
Disliked like most touring pitches shower block and toilet facilities are due a upgrade but I'm sure this will be sorted.
que at the bar was a wait but hey when a place is this popular so what you just wait your turn.
My only real gripe was the beer I was served was flat must have been end of the barrel but I never said owt just drank it they are far worse things in life.
