Say hola to a Spanish seaside stay in spectacular setting with a spell at Camping Mougás, in a land of hiking and outdoor activities, near the sea and with views of the Groba mountain range.
Set to the south of the province of Pontevedra, Mougás is also seconds from the clear blue waters of the Ria de Vigo estuary, the lush Galician bay known for its beaches and the watersports at Baiona, Chapela, Moana, Cangas and Vigo (as well as its isles: the Vigo estuary is the site of the Cíes Islands, home to what's been described as the world's best beach).
If you want to laze around on site in between all the sightseeing and island hopping, Mougás is well set up with a pool, tennis court, seven-a-side football pitch, mini basketball court and games room with a pool table, table football and board games.
Wifi is available in the games room, at reception and in the site restaurant. Mougás also has a communal barbecue area and a food shop, open in high season to sell essentials.
Other facilities include toilets and showers near the camping area, and a laundry room with an ironing corner.

Local attractions
Hiking, paragliding and horse riding in the Serra da Groba, diving in Ria de Vigo, kayaking in the estuary, sailing at Baiona or summer snorkelling off the Cíes Islands… what lovely land this is for outdoor activities. (And/or beach basking: Rodas on the Cíes island of Monteagudo was once named as the best beach on the planet.)
It's a land of old and ancient history around here too, such as at the nearby town of Baiona, which has had a long and industrious heritage since being founded in 140BC, including being the first town to hear of the discovery of the New World when Colombus landed back here in the Pinta 1493.
A replica of the Pinta is in town to see, along with a medieval Old Town, modern marina and 12th-century Monterreal Castle. Free tours of Baiona are available to visitors: ask at the Camping Mougás reception for info.
More? Try the Pozas de Mougás pools and river basins, the mills of Folón, Oia's Santa María Monastery, the Baixo Miño area's Albariño wineries and hiking part of the Portuguese Way of Saint James.
