  • Glamping tents at a peaceful Galicia location with sea views
  • Beach less than 10 minutes' walk; Vigo 35 minutes' drive
  • Furnished tents with bed linen provided; café on site
What a lovely location for a glamping break – Kampaoh Pintens is in a quiet spot that’s completely surrounded by natural views of oak and chestnut forests and less than 10 minutes’ walk from the nearest sandy beach (and with several more within walking distance too). This setting means you can happily fill your Galicia break with active days of hiking, cycling, watersports and adventures like canyoning, or simply stroll from beach to beach for days of swims and sunbathing if you prefer something more leisurely. In fact, no one would blame you for sticking to your local stretch of sand to keep things even easier – Castiñeiras is a lovely peaceful beach in a sheltered bay with crystal- clear waters and a little chiringuito where you can pick up snacks. Everything at this glampsite has been set up to make life nice and easy for guests – tents are well furnished with beds and bed linen, plus handy extras including electric points and a fridge for the all-important cool beers (which you can pick up from the supermarket five minutes’ walk away or the shops in Cangas, 10 minutes’ drive away). Life here is pretty laidback – it’s not a place that’s been filled with entertainment and activities. There is, however, a café on site, plus the essential facilities of showers, toilets and wifi.

Local attractions

Once you’ve strolled down to Castiñeiras beach (10 minutes’ walk), you may well not make it much further for the rest of your holiday. Should you want to survey more of the area’s beaches, try the 20-minute walk/10-minute bike ride to Praia Area Brava or head further out towards the less-visited end of the peninsula and Praia Estrepeiros (five minutes’ drive) and Praia do Couso (10 minutes). On the other side of the peninsula, Nerga beach (10 minutes) is worth a trip too. Cangas (15 minutes) has more beaches, and it’s also a hub for various activities including canyoning. Meanwhile, for watersports like sea kayaking and scuba diving, head to Bueu (20 minutes). For a change of scenery, head around to Vigo (35 minutes), to stroll through the Old Town, visit the MARCO de Vigo contemporary art museum and climb to Monte O Castro for stunning views over the town, the sea and the surrounding area. It’s also the place to board ferries to the Cíes islands.
