A right top spot is right here if you're looking for a budget accommodation option in Valencia – but still want to be within a pebble throw of the beach and have loads of activities on offer on a big, busy and family-friendly site.
Camping Valencia is a beachside site close to the small and sandy resort of Puçol, a peaceful place an easy 15 kilometres north or less than half an hour's drive from Valencia. It's right next to a family-friendly sandy beach and a two-kilometre promenade for lazy and sunny ambles, with a path nearby for cycling or walking the three kilometres to the town centre.
There's absolutely loads to do on this large and lively site, including a kids' club and a packed programme of entertainment and activities for all ages running in high season. If you'd rather entertain yourself, there's a huge pool with waterslides and inflatables to make a splash at, a well-equipped playground for the kids, and the means for many a family sports day at the tennis, padel and basketball courts, football pitch and ping pong tables.
When it's time for eats and drinks, the modern family-friendly restaurant comes with a sunny terrace for alfresco suppers or takeaway for having wherever you please. A mini market is also on site, and barbecues are allowed.

After long lazy days on Puçol beach/in the pool, take the kids along for an enchanting time at Magic Parc indoor playground, three kilometres away, or to the beaches of Puig a little further along the coast.
To see the scenery away from the sands, the G 10 trail linking Valencia and Lisbon starts in Puçol to cross the entire Sierra Calderona range on its way to Estivella.
And after all those sunny sandy days? Time to get along to Valencia, for many sunny sightseeing days: start off at the City of Arts and Sciences, then get along to the Oceanografic aquarium before some (a lot of) time around its ancient buildings, including the cathedral and the Lonja de la Seda.
If after all that you're still yearning for the sands, Valencia has a city beach too...
