Seeking sun, sand and slides? Then make your way to the Mediterranean for a memorable hol at Alannia Guardamar near the mouth of the Segura River and four kilometres from Guardamar del Segura. This cosy and peaceful family-friendly site is a 15-minute walk from the golden-sand Los Tusales beach (surrounded by sand dunes and pine trees). This is an area off the Valencian coast said to get more than 325 days of sunshine every year. It's a great choice for families with young kids and babies, say the folk that own the site - and pets are welcome too. If idling under sun and in water appeals to you, wait till you see the park’s 5,000 square metre lagoon-style pool area with three Jacuzzis, a waterfall and a kids' pirate-themed waterpark; it’s also surrounded by sunbeds for lounging under the rays and has plenty of parasols and palm trees when seeking shade. And how about when you’re looking for lunch? Options for eating and drinking at this well-equipped park include a restaurant, a café with a terrace, a bar, a supermarket and a barbecue area. More restaurants, as well as food markets to dip between, are also in the centre of Guardamar del Segura town about 10 minutes away. Back on site, Alannia Guardamar doesn’t skimp on the indoor amenities either as it’s got kids’ clubs for one- to 16-year-olds with access to a stage and karaoke. Other amenities include an ATM, security service, car rental and a bathroom block with toilets and showers for guests with reduced mobility.

Liked Sehr schöner Campingplatz. Personal sehr freundlich. Toiletten wurden gefühlt 10 mal am Tag sauber gemacht sehr sauber. Pool landschaftlich super für klein und groß. Die Stellplätze sind mit Abfluss Strom und frischwasser ausgestattet.

Disliked An der Pool Bar ist nur Kartenzahlung möglich, was eigentlich auch nicht schlimm ist

Liked Excellent place to stay with little ones. So many activities such as the mini club, stage shows and play areas included. The paddle pool area for little ones and the big pool for the grown ups were amazing. All the facilities were immaculately clean with cleaners attending a few times a day. All staff very friendly and always highly professional. The pitch itself was a generous size and flat therefore easy to park.

Liked Well looked after site with decent size pitches and good shower facilities. Great "Happy Hour" in the pub/restaurant.

Disliked Slightly isolated so you need a bike or car to get around.

Liked Excellent tropical pool area especially for families with slides pirate ship and more.
Good facilities for showering laundry and toilets. Would benefit from adjustable shower.

Liked Pitches were huge and had everything you needed. Staff were lovely and the customer service couldn’t be improved they went above and beyond.
Toilets/facilities always cleaned regularly. Plenty of activities in site and around. On site shop and plenty of other added bits. We really didn’t want to leave. The grounds were beautiful and upkept regularly.

Disliked Nothing, it was amazing.

Liked Un camping con calles amplias que cuando eres novato en esto está genial, baños muy limpios mucha animación para los pequeños, las piscinas con toboganes espectaculares vamos que no sales del resort. También tienes cerca un mercadona y un lidl.

Liked Facilities are very good and clean, pitches have ample space and good access to hook up and potable water.
Short walk to beach but Guardamar itself is a half hour walk along the canal.

Disliked Unfortunately there was a large group of school / college kids on site and housed close to our pitch, a bit to noisy but we were young once.

Local attractions

Beaches are of course the biggest draw on the Costa Blanca and you’ll be near some excellent ones with watersports on tap – think windsurfing, kayaking, jetskiing and scuba diving – around the seaside resort of Torrevieja (20 minutes’ drive) as well as nearer base in Guardamar during your trip. If getting bronzed on the area’s 14 kilometres’ worth of beaches becomes a bit too much, turn your attention inland to spots like the Embalse de la Pedrera nature reserve (within a 30-minute drive). The largest marsh in Alicante, with a free fishing reservoir if you’re a fan of angling and have sorted a Valencian licence, also has biking and hiking trails so you can spend days cooling off under the 30,000 or so trees. Rather lower your body temperature with a bit of splash time? The Aquopolis waterpark in Torrevieja is less than 20 minutes away or you could get some sea breeze by boating across to the protected marine reserve of Tabarca islet.
