Here be a corner of Cataluña carved out for outdoorsy sorts, for Nou Camping is in the Lérida part of the Pyrenees, at the edge of the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park and in a smashing locale for getting into the Spanish outdoors (fishing, mountain biking, rafting and skiing are all available nearby).
Set in the village of La Guingueta, Nou Camping is suitable for couples and young families and has a quiet and restful vibe. The spacious heated seasonal pool has room aplenty around it for sunbathing, relaxing and general daydreaming, and there's also a play area, a games room with table tennis, football tables and billiards, and a kids' club with entertainment and activities available in high season.
As it's Spain, food is of the essence here too: keen chefs can sizzle up their fancies at the communal barbecues, then carry their creations to the picnic area, while those less keen on cooking/making any effort on holiday can amble over to the site restaurant for meals specialising in the local cuisine and served alongside tasty wines. Freshly-baked bread and croissants as well as other essentials are available from the shop every morning.
Nou Camping has wifi throughout the site for a small extra charge.

Local attractions
Nou Camping is by Lake Torrassa and only a few kilometres from Lake San Mauricio and the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park, a much-visited part of the region for its varied and scenic landscapes, hikes and nature spotting. Alt Pirineu National Park is to the east.
The area is also much visited for horse riding, canoeing and fishing, and for snowboarding and skiing in Baqueira Beret, Super Espot and Bonave.
The town of Vielha is within about 30 kilometres and the mountain pass and ski resort town of El Pas de la Casa is 49 kilometres away.
