Just simply stunning – and that's without even mentioning the pool. There are so many excellent features of this Spanish site that you'll be hard pressed to pick your favourite thing: its setting near spectacular Costa Brava beaches, for example, its first-rate facilities or its fun, friendly vibe…? And then, there's that pool. Cast your eye over the site pics for a preview of just how splendid these waters are, set among greenery and palm trees, and edged by waterslides. Dips can be had here from morning to evening; should you tire of that, sunbathing space is alongside the water. Next to the pool is the cosy covered terrace of the fab bar-restaurant, the setting for live music on summer eves. More entertainment can be easily sourced nearby, on the coastal path busy with cafés, bars, restaurants and shops, at the local town of Pineda de Mar, or at the likes of Santa Susanna, Malgrat de Mar, Blanes, Lloret de Mar or an hour by train away in Barcelona. More virtuously, you can bike one of the many cycling routes through the local pine grove or around the landscapes of the nearby Montnegre-Corredor natural park. A football pitch and basketball court are also around to take care of leisurely hours, and activities are arranged in high season for juniors. For foodie fuel aside from the restaurant, the mini market sells essentials, fruit, cold drinks and fresh bread and pastries. Camping Enmar is 300 metres from a supermarket, 700 metres from a train station, and under two kilometres from bars, clubs and shops.

Liked We had a fantastic stay at this campsite and would happily return. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, with friendly staff who were always happy to help.

The site itself was beautifully maintained, with clean facilities. The surroundings were lovely too — perfect for unwinding, with great walks nearby and a real sense of being close to nature.

One thing that really stood out was how well organised everything was, from check-in to the layout of the site. It made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable. The facilities were spotless and clearly well looked after, which made a big difference to our stay.

Overall, it was a brilliant experience and exactly what we were looking for — a relaxing break in a well-run, scenic location. We’d definitely recommend it to others and are already thinking about coming back!

Disliked How close the pitch we was on was pretty tight despite there being plenty of empty pitches we were plotted between others which was tight for our motorhome and have to pay for wifi

Local attractions

It's all the Mars around this popular part of Catalonia and the Costa Brava: take your pick from Pineda, Malgrat and Lloret de Mar among others for spectacular beaches and seaside resorts, as well as some unexpected options like the clifftop gardens of Santa Clotilde (Lloret) and a 17th-centry church so spacious it's nicknamed the 'Cathedral of the Coast' (Malgrat). Scuba diving in waters you'll remember for years is popular around the Medes Islands, reachable from Pineda. The Enmar team also recommends a trip to the old fishing village of Tossa de Mar, to stroll along the traditional fishermen’s quarter and then hike up to Tossa’s lighthouse for first-rate views over the coast. Sa Riera park, a green and peaceful place along Tossa’s river with a walking and cycling path, is a tiptop place for a picnic. The waterpark of Marineland is 15 minutes' drive away. Have more fun days just outside Barcelona at the Tibidabo amusement park, PortAventura, PortAventura Caribe waterpark and Ferrari Land, all bookable on day trips from the capital.
