Have a happily-priced holiday home for a bargain break or an economic extended hol at Parque Orbitur Valverde: we think you'll find a fair bit to do in the Faro region too. Like lively Lagos, seven kilometres away, the Praia da Luz within three and a peaceful nature reserve also only a few kilometres from base... And the site is easy to get to too, as Faro International Airport is within about an hour's drive. Parque Orbitur Valverde has a seasonal outdoor pool for adults and kids, a multisports field, tennis courts and a playground. Lots of amenities are handy too, like six shower blocks, a mini market and a convenience store, a snack bar and a self-service and takeaway restaurant.

Liked Location close to Luz

Disliked Pitches were uneven and not well cared for. No water on pitch site.
Checking slow and disorganised.
Sanitary block dark , with broken doe locks, missing soap, leaking showers and sometimes no warm water. the place looks very tired

Liked Wifi en je mocht zelf mooie grote plek uitzoeken

Disliked Sanitair, verouderd en veel water lekkage. En vuilnis werd niet regelmatig geleegd, bakken vaak vol en vuilnis werd er naast gezet.

Liked Freundliches Personal, schöne Lage des Platzes, mit dem Fahrrad sehr kurzer Weg zum Strand, der auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert ist. Nach Lagos sind es mit dem Fahrrad auch nur knappe 20 Minuten.

Disliked Der Platz ist noch um das Waschhaus herum eine Baustelle und den ausgelobten „Stellplatz auf Kiesboden“ gibt es nicht, das ist reiner Naturboden. Das habe ich für Plätze von „Orbitur“ in Portugal auch an PitchUp zurückgemeldet, allerdings sind die für die Platzbeschreibung nicht zuständig und verlassen sich darauf, was der Platzinhaber angibt. Wieder ein Learning für mich bei der Einschätzung von deren Auslobungen auf ihrer Plattform.

Liked Tuvimos un problema con la reserva y la cambiamos para julio, lo gestionamos por email y en principio sín problema.

Liked Lovely pool area looks like the site is being upgraded. Area is great easy cycle to Lagos and short walk to a Praia de Luz

Disliked Nothing much to dislike but would benefit from proper pitches , no lighting in showers on first night and cold water in washing up area

Local attractions

Lovely Lagos, home of lively nightlife and once the link for trade between Portugal and Africa, is a short drive from Parque Orbitur Valverde. It's a popular city of Portugal and the Algarve and known particularly these days for its parties, but it has a couple of thousand years of maritime history to submerge oneself in too. The beaches of Lagos are many and varied – do try and get round them all – and you should also make time for a boat ride to spot the area's dolphins, and a trip to see the local sea caves. If you're a golfer, the famed greens of Boavista and the course of Palmares Golf are both just a 20-minute drive away.

Changes to your holiday

Modifications are subject to a €10.00 ($11.79) fee.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs are not allowed if you are staying in the accommodation units.
Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.
