Have a happily-priced holiday home for a bargain break or an economic extended hol at Parque Orbitur Valverde: we think you'll find a fair bit to do in the Faro region too. Like lively Lagos, seven kilometres away, the Praia da Luz within three and a peaceful nature reserve also only a few kilometres from base... And the site is easy to get to too, as Faro International Airport is within about an hour's drive. Parque Orbitur Valverde has a seasonal outdoor pool for adults and kids, a multisports field, tennis courts and a playground. Lots of amenities are handy too, like six shower blocks, a mini market and a convenience store, a snack bar and a self-service and takeaway restaurant.

Powered gravel campsite

Liked Very well set-up, numerous electric hook-up points, key from reception. Numerous toilet and shower blocks which were very clean and all in good working order. Although the swimming pool was not in use at the time we stayed,?it looked really good! The Toto’s Bar/Restaurant was excellent and dog friendly! We even noticed a pet shower at the back of one toilet block!

Disliked Although it stated gravel pitches, many were overgrown with greenery and others were mostly a mud shingle mix. We had a lot of rain when we stayed and everything turned into a quagmire - this would not have happened on a true gravel pitch

Liked Tolles Restaurant, tolle Lage, nettes Personal. Im November nicht allzu viel los. Kleinigkeiten gibt es an der Rezeption auch zu kaufen.

Disliked Manche männliche Gäste können scheinbar nicht mit einer Klobürste umgehen. Respektlos gegenüber den anderen Gästen und dem Personal.
Die Sanitäranlagen sind ganz schön in die Jahre gekommen, werden aber gepflegt.
Dennoch wäre eine Renovierung angebracht.

Liked Sehr schöner Campingplatz mit großen Stellplätzen. Wir konnten uns den Platz aussuchen. Saubere, großzügige Sanitäranlagen .Sehr freundliche Rezeption. Nettes Personal, aber durchschnittliches Essen im Restaurant. Toller Pool. Gut besuchter Ort Praia de Luz mit tollem Strand. Rad fahren eingeschränkt.

Liked Atlantic cycle route passes the site

Disliked Poor maintenance of showers.
Price. (We stayed in better municipal sites at half the cost)
Overhanging tree foliage.
A bizarre one way system.

Liked Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis, Freundlichkeit des Personals, Restaurant, Pool, sehr große Parzellen (wir hatten ein Wohnmobil und ein Zelt), Busanbindung

Disliked Privates Badezimmer für fast 4 Wochen gebucht, welches nur einmal auf Nachfrage geputzt wurde. Service sollte hier verbessert werden.

Liked La ubicación, la piscina es grande y bastantes hamacas, el restaurante muy bien de precios y personal muy agradable, supermercado pequeño y precios no muy elevados. Personal en general muy amable.

Disliked No tienen una zona destinada a hacer barbacoas, duchas y servicios limpios pero muy antiguos. En las casas no hay nada de ropa de cama , ni toallas, servicio muy muy básico de las casas vacacionales se echaba en falta alguna comodidad más dentro del precio que tiene.

Local attractions

Lovely Lagos, home of lively nightlife and once the link for trade between Portugal and Africa, is a short drive from Parque Orbitur Valverde. It's a popular city of Portugal and the Algarve and known particularly these days for its parties, but it has a couple of thousand years of maritime history to submerge oneself in too. The beaches of Lagos are many and varied – do try and get round them all – and you should also make time for a boat ride to spot the area's dolphins, and a trip to see the local sea caves. If you're a golfer, the famed greens of Boavista and the course of Palmares Golf are both just a 20-minute drive away.

Modifications are subject to a €10.00 ($11.67) fee.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs are not allowed if you are staying in the accommodation units.
Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.
