A splendid stretch of sand adorns the chunk of Adriatic coast surrounding Camping Reno. For this Emilia Romagna part of Italy is home not just to several beaches, but also to a handsome expanse of maritime pine forest, leading to days in water, on sand and cycling or strolling among the trees, all within easy reach of your seaside base. One of these beaches is within simple striking distance indeed of Ravenna's Camping Reno, a family-friendly and peaceful place deep in part of the coast's pine forest. Sand fans and beach buffs have direct access to the beach from here; if you tire of that or crave a bit of action, you can hire a bike to take yourself off for an adventure into the forest. On site, there's a pool with sun loungers alongside so you can bask under the rays while keeping an eye on the kids, and a library and bar should you wish to retreat indoors. You don't have to lift a finger to be entertained here either (quite right, you're on holiday…) as the experienced team sorts out family events and shows in high season. A kids' club runs in the summer months as well, should you wish to head back to the pool or to the bar for a few sprog-free hours: there's wifi across the whole site too for a small extra charge. If your urge to be waited on hand and foot extends to eats and drinks too (again quite right, you're on holiday…), a restaurant awaits to assist you with both; if you can stir your sun-soaked self to sort your own supper or get the other half to adorn the apron, amble over to the barbecue area to sizzle stuff up.

Liked Ligging aan het strand, goede tussenstop voor doorreis naar het zuiden.

Disliked We hadden onze camperplaats al in maart via Pitchup gereserveerd en vooraf per e-mail contact gehad over de geschiktheid voor onze 7,5 meter lange camper. De camping bevestigde dat de toegewezen plaats geschikt was. Bij aankomst ontstond hierover toch opnieuw discussie en moesten we bijna twee uur wachten voordat een passende plaats beschikbaar was. Daardoor voelden we ons niet echt welkom. Daarnaast bleek de uiteindelijke rekening €4 hoger dan de prijs in onze Pitchup-boeking. De receptie vond dit zelf ook vreemd, maar het werd niet uitgezocht of opgelost. De camping bestaat grotendeels uit vaste staanplaatsen, waardoor de sfeer voor passanten minder gastvrij aanvoelde. Tijdens ons verblijf waren er bovendien regelmatig blaffende honden vanaf de vaste plaatsen.
Er ligt een militaire schietbaan naast de camping waar regelmatig wordt geoefend (van de 3 dagen 2 maal aanvang 7.00 uur). Heel veel muggen!

We are very sorry to hear that your stay at our campsite did not meet your expectations.
We are also sorry to read your comments, as they do not reflect what actually occurred. Upon your arrival, which took place before noon, you were offered three pitches suitable for the size of your camper, including one that was scheduled to become available at 3:00 PM, and you chose that one. Check-in for pitches is planned for 3:00 PM, and in your booking, you indicated that you would arrive at 4:00 PM; had you arrived at that time, you would undoubtedly have found the pitch free. In any case, instead of asking you to come back at 3:00 PM, we allowed you to settle into a vacant pitch while you waited.
The pitches are not mostly occupied by seasonal guests. However, as the campsite was fully booked, we understand that this may have been the impression you had. Our campsite is frequented by many guests of all nationalities, and everyone is welcome, including dogs, as we are a pet-friendly campsite.

To fight the presence of mosquitoes, we carry out treatments periodically, but being located within a pine forest with a hot climate, it is very difficult to eliminate them entirely. We try to do our best, even if it is not always enough.

Liked Goede ligging,vlakbij het strand

Disliked Dit is een camping vooral bezet door italianen die hier een vaste staanplaats hebben. Wij waren met een tunneltent en dan zijn de pitches zeer klein, je staat echt op elkaar gepakt. Omdat italianen nogal enthousiast kunnen babbelen lijkt het snachts of ze mee in je tent liggen.
De animatie is zeer druk en gericht op 15,16 jarige en kinderen. Zeer luidruchtig....
Het barretje is al van hetzelfde. In de namiddag rustig iets drinken wanneer je op het strand ligt zit er niet echt in. Wij waren hier voor de eerste keer maar wellicht nooit meer. Om uit te rusten moet je zeker niet op deze camping zijn....

Liked Zum ersten Mal besuchten wir diesen Platz Reno und waren begeistert. Der Empfang war überaus freundlich, der Platz den wir erhielten super und der Dienst allzeit bereit uns die Sicherung wieder zu aktivieren. Wir würden gerne wieder einmal kommen und danken für den guten Service. Camping Reno können wir nur empfehlen.

Disliked Da gibt es gar nichts zu berichten. Für uns war alles okay.

Liked Mi è piaciuto il personale che ci ha fatto l'accoglienza per la disponibilità, professionalità e gentilezza.

Disliked Non mi è piaciuta la piazzola per la tenda che era circondata da camper, uno dei quali aveva la ventola del condizionatore (che faceva rumore) a bordo della piazzola.
Non mi è piaciuto che il mini club è andato avanti con la musica oltre le ore 23.00.
Tutto questo assieme alle tante zanzare, alla assenza del WiFi gratuito e alla scarsa copertura di rete telefonica ci ha portati a raccogliere la tenda e ad andare, alle 23.45, in un b&b.

Liked Nur ein paar Meter zum Strand, für Kindern geeignet , da es weit flach hinein geht..sehr freundliches Reinigungs Personal , Anmeldung freundlich und schnell. Platz sehr sauber, bin sehr zufrieden gewesen. Strom ist im Preis inbegriffen..

Disliked Mini Markt hat wenig Auswahl an Lebensmittel.
Internet geht sehr schlecht.

Local attractions

Fab Ravenna is about 20 minutes' drive from Camping Reno, or just under half an hour by bus on the service running hourly from the stop a minute's walk from the site. Once you're there, buy one ticket for entry to four of the city's most popular attractions: San Vitale Church with its famed Byzantine mosaics, the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, the Neonian and Arian baptisteries, and the Sant'Apollinare Nuovo Church. Also in town, make time for the main square of the Piazza del Popolo, Dante's tomb near the Basilica of San Francesco, and trying plates of local speciality Cappelletti al ragù. Little squirts usually go mad for a day or two in Mirabilandia, the amusement park and waterpark about 30 minutes' drive away at Savio. There are the usual hair-raising rides to quench their thrillseeking thirst, but bring your bathing togs and a change of clothes too, as Mirabilandia is also home to a splashingly good waterpark, Mirabilandia Beach.
