What a swankily well-appointed site this is: in a pretty parkland setting but just 20 minutes' drive from the Emilia-Romagna region’s lively, handsome and historic capital of Bologna… as well as 20 minutes’ drive from hiking and nature spotting at Park Gessi Bolognesi and Calanchi dell'Abbadessa. A shuttle bus to Bologna’s centre stops just outside the site for when you fancy a city-based jaunt, with several services running from early morning throughout the day and into the early evening (and returning regularly too), arriving into the city centre within 15 minutes. Further (and even more regular) bus options are short walk away. Centro Turistico Città di Bologna is a splendid site for families, with ample leisurely pursuits for kids and grownups. A spacious sun terrace is set around a large seasonal outdoor pool so that kids can splash about while adults bask by the poolside; when they’re not in the mood for getting wet, a slide, a climbing frame and a merry-go-round are all at the shaded playground. There's also a fitness room for grownups, available for a small fee (and perhaps handy to know about should you have overindulged on lasagne, tagliatelle and the city’s famed bolognese sauce...). For eats on site, the modern restaurant serves traditional dishes made using local ingredients for breakfast in the mornings, and opens again in the evenings for drinks with appetisers all season round as well as pizza in summer.

Liked: Gli spazi verdi con erba e piante. Il ristorante e il bar per la colazione.
Molto silenzioso e i bagni sono puliti. C'è anche la lavanderia.

Disliked: Essendo andata nel mese di maggio non abbiamo potuto provare la piscina.

Liked: Bus vervoer naar de stad.

Disliked: Afgeleefde camping. Geen licht bij de afwas en lauw water. Bij de wasmachine bleef het vuil gewoon liggen. Niet onderhouden camping. Te duur voor wat je krijgt. Wifi enkel in de bar.

Liked: Location for Bologna

Disliked: Sanitary in poor condition with very little lighting and no hand driers in the toilets.
Bus service is a bit hit and miss I waited an hour but it never turned up.

Liked: Sanitäranlagen gut , Stellplatz ok, Abwicklung gut

Disliked: Nicht sehr Service orientiert. Wir konnten unseren Bus nicht starten, aber Hilfe mussten wir von anderen Kunden bekommen. Auch andere Kunden waren festgefahren, hatten nur ein e- golfcart zur Verfügung als Service , mussten auch andere Kunden um Hilfe bitten .

Liked: Restaurant was excellent, shuttle bus to Bologna (20 mins) very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice shallow pool (daily charge €8, half day €5).
