After all the excitement of the city, spend some time closer to base playing a round at Golf-Club Großensee (five minutes' drive), horse riding from Hoisdorf (10 minutes) or heading to the Lütjensee (10 minutes) for a high ropes course and more lake swims. If the nippers are demanding more activity, there’s a great indoor playground at Indoo Park (15 minutes) and a chance for them to scramble up the walls at Kletterwald Hamburg climbing park (20 minutes).
