Bring all of the family, including your pets, for a back-to-nature break at this peaceful spot in southwest France's sloping countryside. Bellevues Glamping and Camping is a small, characterful English-run site with stunning views across the vines and a valley between Cognac and Bordeaux. This peaceful place is somewhere to sunbathe, rest in a shady spot with a favourite book, or bring a sketchpad to try and capture the landscape on paper. Cool off in the pool, stroll around the grounds, witness spectacular sunrises… then after dark, gaze up at the starry skies on clear nights – after a couple of days, you’ll almost certainly be completely chilled. There’s accommodation to match all styles of camping – and all pockets – and you have direct access to walks and cycle rides on quiet country roads past fields of vines, taking in the sleepy village of Mérignac (10 minutes on foot, five minutes by bike). If you need to top up the foodie supplies, head for Montendre (15 minutes’ drive), a small market town with shops for all your essentials, a weekly produce market (Thursdays, with night markets on Tuesday during July and August) and a scattering of restaurants and wine caves in which to sample the local vintages.

  • No bachelor/bachelorette parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
  • The outdoor swimming pool is open between 05/01 and 10/31 (subject to weather conditions).
  • At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
  • A cable measuring at least 10 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.
  • Units longer than 10 metres are not allowed.
  • Units heavier than 6000 kilograms are not allowed.
  • Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.
  • Only toilet cassettes using green fluid can be emptied on site, other fluids are not permitted.

Liked This place is an absolute gem. Very small but still has a pool and good facilities. The people who run it are incredibly friendly - they even helped jump start our car. The view is really nice to wake up to. The freezer full of ice creams to buy is a nice touch.

Liked We had a fantastic time at this campsite, thanks to the exceptional care and kindness of Richard and Linda. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made all the difference.
The facilities were spotless and well maintained, and we were especially impressed by how quickly everything was back in perfect condition—even the swimming pool—just the morning after a storm! Everything was truly fit for purpose, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and well-run campsite with hosts who truly care and will be back there soon (from Paris).

Disliked Public access to the surrounding woods and lakes was restricted due to fire risk! Stayed at the site the whole time = enough fun!

Liked We were really lucky to find this site. What a little gem! We were looking for somewhere relaxing where we could just enjoy the sun and unwind. From the moment we arrived we felt like we had found paradise. This place has a very homely feel to it and the kids felt safe and happy spending their days in the pool or playing ping pong. Linda and Richard are very welcoming and really made us feel at home. The surrounding views are beautiful. Bordeaux was easily accessible on the train if you wanted to fit a city day in and take in some more sights. The pool is well kept and the facilities were very clean. The tuck shop was an added bonus, where you could pick up an ice cream or a cold beer. We would definitely return again and even treat ourselves to a stay in one of the lovely glamping tents. We stayed for 6 days and would have stayed longer. Thank you for a fabulous stay !

Liked As soon as we arrived, we received a fabulous welcome and very informative - everything was explained clearly and we were made to feel at home.

Pitches are sizable and very well maintained, not overcrowded and very much a family feel. The whole site was fabulously clean.

We took several walks around the local area and whilst the surrounding area is quiet, it was pretty - so many vineyards!

We are at a local restaurant recommended by Linda, Chez Gigi, and it was lovely.

The honesty shop was a welcome addition, serving beers and ice creams. Perfect on hot day!

Disliked Our only suggestion is that one toilet and one shower is not quite enough.
