Spend a rural break with relaxation mode on and clothes off at La Petite Cretouffière Naturist Camping, an adults-only site near the border for three regions (Pays de la Loire, Normandie and Brittany). Small, friendly and naturist, clothing is optional here, so adults (only) are welcome to come and take a peaceful break in the countryside or a relaxing stopover. This is a thoroughly rural spot, under an hour and 50 minutes’ drive from Saint-Malo and Caen and between an hour and 15 minutes and an hour and 35 minutes from two international airports. The five acres have private gardens, a hot tub, a small plunge pool (available in high season only) and a communal alfresco dining area with a barbecue for guests to gather around. Wifi is available in the alfresco area for sending any messages home and other practical site features include clean, eco-friendly composting toilets, solar showers, secure parking and fresh and non-potable water. There’ll be no going hungry here, that’s for sure, with seasonal produce available and breakfast and meal options up for grabs when you book in advance. There are plenty of low-key villages like Fontaine Daniel where guests can stop at a boulangerie (bakery), tabac (bar) or for a menu du jour (meal of the day) or local French coffee (in an egg cup with a handle). Back at base, there are lots of friendly animals, including Pepe, the French Jack Russell (he’s in charge of security and entertainment) and Tiggy, the friendly cat who lost her tail. Other residents include QCookie Mcshovelface the sheep and his six lady friends, chickens and the occasional visiting buzzards, owls and deers around the site’s small nature trail.

Sewage waste must be disposed of at the local village aire five minutes away as the site runs on a septic tank.

Local attractions

Ask the site for directions to the local river walk, where there are crayfish, kingfishers and all sorts of wildlife (boots are a must – and clothes, unfortunately). The exotic plants and festivals of the Les Jardins des Renaudies are also 15 minutes’ walk away. Historic war beaches are a couple hours’ drive north, excellent for a day trip. A camera is an essential for the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Mont Saint-Michel (an hour and 15 minutes), a historic tidal island and castle. If you’re after more history, Rennes (an hour and 10 minutes) has a cathedral and museums too. The local historical town is Mayenne (25 minutes), which has a surprisingly relaxing atmosphere for such a lively town. It has a river and a town square (great for foodies and people watching). Where else? Perhaps Le Mans (an hour and 30 minutes), where there’s a race track and motor museum? A local chateau? Or a bar by the river in Laval (40 minutes)?

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Please pick any available site on arrival.
There is no reception at this park. Please check-in at the cottage instead.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

General

As a nudist park, guests of all ages must comply with the nudist policy if vacationing on the park.
Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Bookings must not be for more than 14 consecutive nights.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.

Quiet hours must be respected between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and trunks must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behavior is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The park is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.
