There's a lot to do for all sizes at friendly and welcoming Camping Les Voiles d'Anjou in the Loire Valley. For kids first of all (as once they're sorted the grownups are too), blossoming every day in high season is to hand with the treasure hunts, crafts and games – or they could bounce around the playground, trampoline or bouncy castles, or pick up books, games and sports equipment at reception to make their own play. Pour les grownups, a spa with Jacuzzi, sauna and shower is on site with spa treatments available at extra cost (by appointment only, please). Evening activities include outdoor cinema, discos, bingo, night-time swimming sessions, concerts and music evenings and shows – and you'll also find on site two covered table tennis tables, a miniature golf course, two tennis courts, a volleyball court and a games room. And pools, of course... Two of them, one indoors and heated, and the other outdoors, heated, with a large paddling pool and open throughout high season. And there are also shared barbecue facilities with a picnic area open when the site is, and a shop and a snack bar open in high season... Pitches at Camping Les Voiles d'Anjou are bordered by hedges in a wide green expanse of land, so well suited for guests who like to get close to nature on holiday. The site facilities include four amenities blocks, a baby changing and bathing area, washing machines and tumble dryers. Disabled access bathrooms are also available.

The Valley of the Kings... the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Loire Valley is in the Anjou region and filled with cultural and historical heritage – well, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site after all... The Camping Les Voiles d'Anjou team recommends mixing up your Loire Valley châteaux and visiting the most famed as well as the hidden treasures, and those dating from medieval to Renaissance times (French history and culture will come as standard, of course...). Have a look at the Château de Saumur, rebuilt by Henry 2; Breze with its underground tunnels; the medieval castle of Angers and its tapestry of the apocalypse; Brissac, the highest castle in France; Montreuil-Bellay and its medieval village; Sleeping Beauty film inspiration Ussé, and Le Plessis Bourre, known from the film Peau d'Ane. Nearby Saumur is on the border of the Anjou and Touraine provinces: go here for the Combier distillery (home to the creators of Cointreau and Grand Marnier); the Saint Nicolas and Saint Pierre churches; the biggest armour museum in Europe, and the Cadre Noir - the cavalry school with tours and performances throughout the year. Plenty of vineyards are in the Loire Valley too, with regional wines including Saumur-Champigny, Layons and Savennière.
