Highly-rated campsite with friendly staff & great location near Montreuil Bellay chateau. Clean facilities, nice pool, bar & snacks. Mostly peaceful, though minor pitch leveling, shower spray & WiFi issues noted. Dog-friendly, good base for exploring.

Misleading advertisement. Essentially pontins.
Eden powered grass campsite (riverside)
Liked The location and surrounding area.
Disliked The pitch was small and in full sun for most of the day. We had a riverside pitch, but was overgrown on the other side of the pitch, so no river view. We were next to a screaming baby for our 3 nights, so sleep deprived. It’s not as described, not a tranquil, riverside campsite, it’s a full on kids club, loud and not the vibe we were expecting with our teenage children, no sun loungers ever, pool was heaving and had repeated kids club events in it. Loud noise generally with lots of screaming children day and night. Shower block is old and dated and in serious need of repair.

The walks from the campsite and lovely bakery in walking distance.
Level pitches
Good location for couple of nights on our way further south to break up the journey.
Disliked Only a few showers have been renewed. Only one big enough if showering with children so big wait for it.
The furniture at the bar and restaurant are very wobbly.
Same price pitches vary massively in size.
A lot of people kept towels on sun beds all day even if they didn’t go to them till late afternoon when the pool was the busiest.
Was told at check in that there was a children’s club but not to bother sending our children as it’s all in French.
Washing up facilities water was only just warm than cold.

Disliked Pitch wasn't massively level for a tent, but that's what you get with trees!

Lovely brief stay, pretty village, river setting very unique
Eden powered grass campsite (riverside)
Liked The setting by the river, walk to village and supermarket. Pool
Disliked Wifi should be free, recommend maintaining the growth to optimize view of river, some pitches had clear view some were obstructed by weeds and brush. Showers should be more of a spray and will save water and energy
