Chilling out or working out? The setup at Camping Le Patisseau is a sensible Pornic pick, for here you can do either – or both – from dawn to dusk, and for every day of your hol should you so desire.
But you may not even opt to go off site... For all sorts of leisurely options are here, and all included in the price: you could, par exemple, feel all virtuous in the fitness room, or play basketball, badminton and tennis in the sports area if you’re feeling active. Non? Make your way to the indoor waterpark, open all year round, for gentle laps, hydromassage, a sauna and Jacuzzi, and slipping into the pool after an 80°C steam Finnish sauna session...
And there’s a waterpark outdoors too. Like the indoor pool, this has options for all energy levels, from bobbing in the water to soaking in another spa, trying out the hydrojet circulation or whizzing down the two waterslides. It’s all fully family-friendly: there’s a paddling pool with a mini waterslide and water toys, and activities run for all ages when the waterpark is open from June to September. And if all this makes your hair frizz? A hairdresser visits the site weekly in high season.
Even if you do spend your whole hol cutting lengths in the pool or sweating in the fitness room, it’s a sure bet that you’ll be pretty laidback when it comes to the essentials, as the Camping Le Patisseau have this well sorted too. The shop stocks everything from bread to toiletries, alongside fresh produce at local market prices including wine, beach items and fresh fruit and veg; if you don't want to cook, a restaurant serving meals and snacks overlooks the pool.
If you ever do make it off site, Camping Le Patisseau is in Pornic, on the Côte de Jade and hiking and biking alongside spectacularly scenic coastal paths.

Local attractions
Potter along to Pornic to picnic at its cosy harbour or to strike out on the GR 34 long-distance route, along the path that customs officials used to foil smugglers in days of yore.
Camping Le Patisseau’s team recommends that guests delve into local cuisine too: there are Pornic strawberries to try, a market at Pornic to browse around, and famed local cheese Curé Nantais to have a chunk of, particularly with a muscatel or a Gros Plant du Pays. (The Curé Nantais cheese factory is five minutes from the site.)
If you need to get active again, have a sailing day at La Bernerie-en-Retz (10 minutes), or get out on your bike at the famed and scenic cycling routes of Noirmoutier, 45 minutes away.
