Camping Domaine de Pont-Mahé

To le beach, of course… the closest sands to Camping Domaine de Pont-Mahé are a short stroll away at 250 metres and several other beaches are within easy reach, such as those at La Baule/La Baule-Escoublac, a seaside resort of the old-school variety with a 12-kilometre stretch of sand. (This is where many of le high society hang out too, so do wave and holler if you see anyone famous.) This part of the Atlantic coastline has folks flocking to it for watersports like kitesurfing, windsurfing and kayaking; on land, plenty of Vélocéan project bike paths are along the coastline. The Guerande peninsula and its salt marshes are un definite must for their craggy landscape (do snap pics), their birdwatching at the Brière Natural Park, and for the medieval town of Guerande, a splendid city that must be seen for its well-preserved rampart and its four gates. Pénestin, Saint-Nazaire and Nantes are also easily accessible from the site.
