It's free, quick and easy!
- Near the Pyrenées and the Pyrénées Ariégeoises Natural Regional Park
- Climb, canoe, paraglide and parachute nearby
- Pool, playground, sports court, mini golf and mountain bike hire
Get ready to get active. For not only is the Midi-Pyrénées's Camping Les Mijeannes in an area of many mountains and outdoor options like climbing, paragliding, hiking and parachuting, it's also teamed up with several local businesses to give you, its active guest, a discount on all these and more.
Canoeing, kayaking, horse riding, paintballing, go karting and tree climbing are also among the deducted days out at this campsite near the Pyrénées and the Pyrénées Ariégeoises Natural Regional Park, but fret not if that all seems much too strenuous for a gentle French foray, as excursions to local sites of culture are available too (and of these there are quite a few).
Also restfully around is the campsite pool, playground and kids' club arranged during the school summer holidays, and if you're up for some activity that doesn't involve hiking up or flying over mountains, you can stay on site for some pétanque, a fitness trail, mini golf, football, volleyball or badminton.
Rackets and balls can be borrowed for free, mountain bikes are available for hire and canoeing supervised by a local professional is available on site for an extra charge.

Local attractions
Camping Les Mijeannes well placed for access to the Pyrénées Ariégeoises Natural Regional Park, an area for all those activities mentioned earlier, as well as for fishing and walking. Lots of walking trails are available in the park including some straight from the campsite.
Going higher, the natural park covers massive valleys, hills, lakes and rivers as well as its peaks, the highest of which are the three at the viewpoint of La Pique d'Estats, on the Spanish–French border and 3.143 metres up.
The three spectacular drops of the Ars waterfall, reached by a three and a half hour round hike from the village of Aulus-les-Bains, are another excellent park option, while going low are the old villages of Niaux and Mas d'Azil reached on a park descent.
The underground river of Labouiche is within easy reach and is the longest in Europe open to the public: take the kilometre and a half boat trip via some rocking stone formations.
Also subterraneanly, some excellent prehistoric art is at the caves of Niaux, Bédeilhac and La Vache, not far from the Pyrénées Park of Prehistoric Art with panels of arty facsimiles.
