What customers say

This campsite offers a beautiful, serene lake setting with direct beach access and water sports. Visitors rave about the friendly staff, clean amenities, and pleasant pool. Pitches are generally large and shaded. While the on-site restaurant is well-regarded, some noted limited hours and no shop. Minor cons include uneven pitches and occasional missing toilet seats. Overall, it's a highly recommended, well-equipped spot for a peaceful escape.

Liked Quiet, perfect location if you are into water sports.

Disliked Uneven pitches, even on top level off large ramp van still not level.

Muddy pitches, I know they can control the weather but it’s a mud bath when it’s raining…not ideal trying to keep van clean inside.

Rats 🐀 around the restaurant that I watched on two consecutive days…there is a lot of rubbish in and around the restaurant kitchen area that is obviously attracting the rats 🐀 massive health risks associated with these critters!

Shower room near the top of the site is very dated and not very clean, why on earth can’t the French/Europeans put toilet seats on the loos????? I’m sure they have them in their own homes!

Not toilet seat, toilet paper or even soap for washing your hands.

We had a beer in the bar area. Nothing special and almost €16 for 2 wasn’t cheap.

The lake is more for the organised water sport (wave boarding water skiing etc) we did have our own paddle boards but no real safe area to use them near the site due to power boats with water skiers etc..

Says there is WiFi at the reception area, after 4 days of trying we still never got connected to it..

Definitely wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it for family or friends.

Liked - Site is right on the lake and our spot was just opposite so it was a very easy walk to access the lake beach. Lovely refreshing swim in the lake.
- Nice beach and not crowded
- you can learn wakeboard there
- nice shaded site
- lots of washing facilities

We would go back again even with the negatives now that we are aware of certain things because the area around the lake is lovely in the Summer. Will probably rent one of their mobile homes next time as we came by campervan this time.

Disliked - We arrived very late from Spain so it was completely dark when we got there. The site map was not easy to read at all so we struggled at night to find our spot, also to see the numbers of the spots which were just very small wooden plaques on the floor of the spot which you can't see when driving in the dark.
- It was very noisy as youngsters were having some sort of Techno party on the lake which went on for quite a long time.
- Our parking spot was on an incline and even with the wheel chocks, we didn't manage to be flatter.
- The restaurant was completely full at lunchtime and not able to book it so we had to drive quite a while to find a restaurant at lunchtime.
- you have to pre-order croissants and bread, not possible to purchase on site in the morning.

Liked The real star of this site is the lake next door. I wish we had more time there to enjoy the all the water sports. The little beach is fantastic. The site has a nice pool and the staff were friendly and helpful, mostly.

Disliked The wc facilities are not the best at all. The staff know this and pointed out that the shower/toilet block we were next to was old and we might prefer using the more modern alternative. They were better but I still can't get away with a toilet with no seat.
The restaurant was a bit strange, we asked if we could order some food to takeaway, the waitress told us the didn't start doing takeaway service for a few hours. We sat in the restaurant instead, while we waited for our order many people collected takeaway orders. When we got our meal we asked for a pizza box which they gave us no problem and we took it back to our pitch 🤷‍♂️.

Liked Great location, lovely lake and beach just out from the camp. Facilities were clean and nice foid in the restaurant/bar. Seemed to have good entertainment on an evening.

Disliked Toilets too far away from pitch. The smallest sanitary block was the nearest but got very busy at times with people queuing on a morning.

Local attractions

The sandy beach of Saint-Pardoux lake is accessible right from the site for lounging or watersports activities like waterskiing and wakeboarding, and a watersports centre is also close by should you wish to try out anything else active on the water. Take the kids to the zoo in Reynou to meet more than 600 critters from five continents; set most prettily around a 19th-century castle, it’s a splendid spot for a family day out, with ambles around its grounds a topping option too. Over in the city of Limoges, lots of restaurants, markets and shops make for a splendid town-based day out. The martyr village of Oradour-sur-Glane is also well worth exploring: the only site of its kind in Europe, this once-thriving village’s fully preserved ruins are a memorial to the civilians who perished there after it was razed to the ground during World War II. For yet more historic spots, several excellent châteaux lie within an hour’s drive, including those at Lastours, Rochechouart, Châlucet and Montbrun.
