Domaine de Mandukhaï is a remote and peaceful site in the Ardennes, half an hour's drive from historic Reims and its museums, galleries and UNESCO-listed buildings, and two hours' drive from Paris. You're a short car journey away from the Montagne de Reims Regional Natural Park and the Champagne Tourist Route that runs through it, as well as heaps of parks, gardens and forests that can be explored on foot or by bike.
Among the facilities are a restaurant serving traditional Mongolian cuisine, a shop selling cashmere sweaters, scarves, shawls and other garments and fishing. The grounds are shaded, grassy and dotted with mature trees, pagodas and a fountain, with spectacular views out over the surrounding countryside.
Accommodation is cosy and well heated, with linen and towels provided.
Amenities include a sanitary block with toilets and showers.

Local attractions
The slopes of the Montagne de Reims Regional Natural Park, around 50 kilometres from the camp, are covered with Champagne vineyards and crossed by the Champagne Tourist Route. The area is also filled with with parks, gardens, forests and waymarked footpaths and mountain-bike trails.
Take a day trip half an hour's drive away to Reims, capital of the Champagne wine region, to see its UNESCO-listed Gothic cathedral and 17th-century Palais du Tau. Foodies can visit the headquarters of famed champagne producers, Tattinger, and Art Deco-style food market, Halles du Boulingrin, while art and history fans can visit the World War II exhibits at the Musée de la Reddition and explore the work of German Renaissance artists and Impressionists at 18th-century abbey, Musée des Beaux-Arts.
