Excellent site, friendly staff, fab location.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Pretty location, nice big pitches and onsite bar and a shop for your essentials. The facilities were clean and the shower was superb, lots of room to shower and get changed. Very good value. The owner has a love of classic VW's so we felt right at home. A food truck selling Greek food turned up in the evening which was a nice surprise. Would recommend!

All a bit tired.
Powered grass campsite (comfort)
Liked Remote, peaceful, fairly level pitch. Plenty of space ( but hardly anyone here!). We were shown walks and given maps. Most were a decent drive away.
Disliked Disappointing. Booked 4 nights but left after2.
We realise it was off season - I think the site closes at the end of the month - but It needs to be made clear that none of what is advertised on and near the site is open! Even the forest is “closed for the winter” (why we came) & we couldn’t even get bread in the village as the baker appeared to be on holiday. The epicerie had very little stock.
The other main issues are the mud - the site is soft ground & would benefit from at least some gravel paths. The only WiFi is in the office itself. The showers although clean, badly need updating.
The worst thing was that we were told off for using a tap onsite to fill our (small) van, and that we should use the tap outside the site (by the waste disposal). Why? We had inspected the tap outside and couldn’t see anyway for us to attach a hose.

From the manager: Bonjour,
Bien cordialement,
Mickaël, Sandra et Patricia
Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. However, we would like to clarify a few points:
👉 Activities and walks: In October, many activities remain open around the campsite. The maps we provide clearly show which trails are accessible during this season. As everywhere, some paths may be temporarily closed for maintenance, but all main tourist sites in Brocéliande are open.
👉 The forest: The Brocéliande forest obviously doesn’t have a gate or “closed entrance.” It’s open all year round, so that comment is simply incorrect.
👉 The village grocery store: It’s open every day except Monday, with fresh bread available from 8 a.m. There was therefore no issue with bread supply during your stay.
👉 The pitches: In October, we offer over 50 camping pitches, and guests are free to choose where to set up. Some are flat (and naturally retain more water after rain), others are slightly sloped and drier. You were free to choose a spot that suited you best.
👉 Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi is available and free at the reception, as clearly stated on our website. For a small 2-star campsite, we already provide more services than most others in the same category, and at lower prices than many in the Brocéliande area.
👉 Showers: The shower facilities were completely renovated two years ago and are regularly praised for their cleanliness and comfort.
👉 Water filling: Yes, I was the one who asked you not to use the interior fountain to fill your van. You were parked blocking the access road, which could have disturbed other guests.
A dedicated service point for campervans (with fresh water, grey and black water disposal) is available just outside the campsite. It works perfectly, and no other camper has ever had any problem using it.
We simply avoid water filling from internal fountains to keep the area clean and ensure easy vehicle circulation.
We’re sorry your stay didn’t meet your expectations, but it’s important that shared information remains accurate and reflects the real conditions of the campsite and the region.
Kind regards,
Mickaël, Sandra and Patricia

Powered grass campsite (comfort)
Liked A return visit for us after 30 years! Now under new management, with good facilities and nice hot showers (although you will need to take up your own toilet paper and handwash for each visit). Lovely views over the Paimpont Forest. Food trucks arrived on a couple of evenings we were there which looked good (although we didn’t sample as we had already eaten by then!). Nice stroll around the (very quiet) village, with a little sculpture meadow to look at down the road. Great location for exploring the surrounding area.

Not a site unless you are willing to spend time cleaning your vehicle.
Powered grass campsite (comfort)
Liked Quiet country site with forest landscape.
Disliked Site is muddy and pitches are not level. Carpets in motorhome require cleaning due to mud. Had booked another night a few days later but decided not to use it again.

From the manager: Thank you, Derek. We welcome many motorhomes each year and most guests really enjoy their stay. Some pitches are flat and others slightly sloped, but with standard levelling blocks this is usually no problem.
September was exceptionally rainy, which may have made the ground feel softer than usual, though all our pitches are grassed and not muddy. We’re sorry the weather affected your stay and hope to welcome you back in better conditions to enjoy our peaceful countryside setting.
You’ll want to return!
