Family frolics and fresh air are on tap at O2 Camping, among Normandy fields and farmland in a peaceful rural spot. Lanes for rural rambling are just outside the site, and it's also only a 10-minute drive from sea breezes at a sandy beach. There’s plenty to fill your time on site when not out and about: a sizeable playing field caters for games of football, volleyball, frisbee or anything else you can dream up, or you can play out more personal grudges with a game of table tennis or pétanque. The indoor pool is the venue for aqua gym classes and poolside yoga sessions, and has a paddling pool for smaller splashers. Hoping for more of a sit down? Borrow books and games from the library and sink into a hammock or deckchair for a leisurely lounge. And if relaxation doesn’t come as naturally as you hoped, perhaps you need to enlist the help of one of the masseurs that comes by on summertime evenings and weekends… For evening eats, stock up on food at the supermarket 10 minutes away and get grilling on the communal barbecue – perhaps giving your dish an extra je ne sais quoi with a scattering of freshly picked herbs from the site garden. Duly fed, amble over to the bar for cool drinks and chat on the terrace as the sun sets. Naturally, you'll be needing some fresh bread for your petit déjeuner the next day, so order ahead and a kindly baker will deliver it to the site.

- ordering pastries

Disliked - queuing to use the toilet, showers and washing up facilities at peak times
- unisex toilets with urinals next to cubicles: as a woman I found this uncomfortable but a personal preference
- not enough facilities for a busy site

Liked Absolutely wonderful campsite! Very peaceful, but great facilities and very attentive friendly staff.
Great place to stay for some local days out too.
Our three children (11,9,5) enjoyed playing football with other children and loved the swimming pool!

Disliked Nothing. It was all fabulous. We will definitely return 😊

Liked O2 Camping er en hyggeligt indrettet campingplads med det meste af det, man kan ønske sig på en campingplads.
Den er meget rolig, men samtidig fin til mindre børn. De kan hygge sig med at fodre geder og høns samt naturligvis bruge poolen. Der er en meget lille legeplads for meget små børn. Der er areal til at spille fodbold og volley. Der er bordtennisbord udendørs.

Disliked Kulturen omkring poolen er ikke særlig hygiejnisk. De færreste går i bad inden, og når de gør er det blot en skylning med badetøj på, men uden brug af sæbe. Der mangler som minimum skilte og en fast dispenser med sæbe.
Der er en bar, men den lukker vist altid tidligt, fordi ingen bruger den.

Liked Beautiful campsite! We stayed here for a family holiday with our young children. The staff are so friendly and all very helpful. They have a lovely bar on site, great facilities for kids and lots of wildlife too. The toilets were very clean too. Great little pool on site as well

Local attractions

The beaches of Mont Saint-Michel Bay are about 10 minutes’ drive away, with kilometres of splendid sand to choose from on the stretch between Granville and Regnéville-sur-Mer. If you fancy getting out on to the water, head into Granville (15 minutes from the site) for lessons and boat hire from the sailing school. If you’ve got kids in tow, a recommended day out is Champrepus Zoo, 25 minutes away, where you can see animals from all over the globe including tigers, penguins and lemurs. Should the weather take a wrong turn, head instead for Raptor Park, one of France’s largest indoor theme parks, within 15 minutes. The big boy around these parts is the UNESCO World Heritage Site Mont Saint-Michel, about an hour's drive away. Cross the causeway to walk around the famed medieval ramparts and abbey; if you’re there towards the evening have a look out for the sound and light shows that run in the summer months.
