If a day at the beach followed by a wine-tasting tour around the MĂ©doc vineyards sounds right up your alley, head to Camping Le Ranch
 from here, dune-backed sandy beaches, pine forests and refreshing freshwater lakes are all part of the itinerary. Find this quiet family-friendly site in Naujac sur Mer, sat snugly between the beaches of the Atlantic coast with Lake Hourtin 25 minutes’ to the south and vineyards to the east. Just 10 kilometres and a 15-minute drive from the strip at Plage du Pin Sec, you’ll be well-based for sandy horse trots, surfing or light paddling in the sea. Sit in a pretty landscape of green at this two-star dog-friendly site, where the grassy pitches benefit from patches of shade from the trees and convivial staff are on-hand to point you in the direction of activities around the MĂ©doc peninsula. Perhaps hire a bicycle from the site and mount it for the trails around Naujac sur Mer’s surrounding pine forest. You could practice nautical sports on Lake Hourtin (the largest freshwater lake in France). Afterwards, if the kids are still brimming with energy, there’s a play area back on site where they can carry on with their playtime. You’ll surely have worked up an appetite after all that. If so, there are a couple of restaurants within 10 minutes’ drive and wider eateries within 15 minutes’ drive (including a couple of restaurants right beside the beach ideal for sunset dining). Choosier eaters (or anyone who likes to keep a snack bar in their pocket) will be pleased to find there’s a large supermarket within 20 minutes’ drive and a smaller shop within 10 minutes’ drive to handle the basics.

This peaceful, wooded campsite has spacious, shaded spots. Friendly staff are a big plus! While generally clean, some facilities felt dated. Guests enjoyed the bar and live music. Management is looking into lighting and trash can locations.

Liked Notre sĂ©jour s’est super bien passĂ©. Nous avons passĂ© une semaine avec nos amis, nous Ă©tions 4 familles avec enfants en bas Ăąge et des ados. Pour la plupart c’était leur premiĂšre expĂ©rience en tente. Je recommande et on y reviendra 😁

Disliked Pas point d’eau sur les emplacements
Pas wifi pas rĂ©seaux alors que cela Ă©tait marquĂ© sur offre et personne pour nous renseigner car souvent l’accueil Ă©tait fermĂ© .
Pas de petit boutique dans l’accueil ni de renseignements d’animation , visite ect.. autour
Un vide sanitaire pour camping car avec un trou non boucher oĂč on peut se faire une entorse si on ne fait pas attention en marchant pres des toilettes .
Il faudrait la signaler et le boucher car extrĂȘmement et dĂ©sagrĂ©able de mettre sont pied dans la merde .
Et pour le départ personne a accueil non plus .
Ceci est dommage car il pourrait y avoir du potentiel dans le camping .
Mais pour du dĂ©pannage ou dormir Ă  l’arrache il est bien et suffisant.

Nous avons bien notĂ© vos remarques sur le point d’eau, le rĂ©seau et la prĂ©sence Ă  l’accueil. Ce sont des points sur lesquels nous travaillons pour amĂ©liorer le confort de nos campeurs 👍
Concernant le trou au niveau du vidange, il est effectivement signalĂ© par un panneau, mais il est possible que celui-ci ne soit pas assez visible — nous allons le replacer ou le renforcer pour plus de sĂ©curitĂ©.
