  • Family-run glamping village located on the island of Krk
  • A 15-minute drive from Krk town; 25 minutes to the mainland via bridge
  • Luxurious Mediterranean safari tents with a terrace and swimming pool
Set on an olive grove and surrounded by Mediterranean plants, Krk Glamping Village is a small, family-run glamping village located in a peaceful location on one of Croatia's most popular islands. Positioned in an attractive location inland, this northern Adriatic site is within 10 minutes' drive of various beaches and a quarter of an hour from the island's main town (also called Krk) in a spot where you can easily continue your adventures over on the Croatian mainland (25 minutes away via a bridge). Krk Glamping Village has an intimate feel to it, with just a small number of luxurious safari tents. Each one comes with lots of outdoor space, including a large terrace and a swimming pool with lots of privacy. Inside, the tents are smartly furnished and equipped with all sorts of amenities – as well as proper bedrooms, a kitchen with a dishwasher, fridge, micro-oven, all the usual amenities and coffee machine; a bathroom with a toilet, shower and sink and bathroom products; and a living area with a TV, wifi, air conditioning, seating and dining space are all included. Bedsheets and towels are provided, as are barbecues. Well-trained pets are welcome and there are communal laundry facilities a short walk away. The site is about a kilometre and a half from the village of Nenadići, where guests have access to a restaurant, bus services and a small supermarket.

Local attractions

There's a huge range of things to do on the island, which is home to dozens of historic villages and more than 100 gorgeous beaches. Starting locally, Malinska (10 minutes' drive) has a number of small coves and a pretty port to stroll around, while Punat (20 minutes) has a large marina and an aquapark for the kids; there’s also a historic monastery on an island just opposite the town. You should also make sure you have enough time to call in at Krk town (10 minutes) during your stay, as it's home to an impressive castle, a cathedral with a typical onion-shaped dome and pretty coastal ramparts overlooking the Adriatic. It's also where to head to organise offshore fishing tours or scuba diving trips. Far from just being about water-based activities, the island is a hotspot for adventurous sports of all kinds. The zipwires at Zipline Edison (20 minutes) make an impressive place to zoom around if you've got a head for heights, while experienced climbers will find a range of renowned crags on the southern half of the island. Quad bike hire, meanwhile, is possible in either Krk, Malinska or Punat.
