Feel rather full of beans on a coffee farm in Quindío… this relaxed family-friendly site will help you recharge your batteries in Colombia’s coffee region. Up in the misty hills and framed by the Andean mountains, chill out over views of the neighbouring coffee lands, including Armenia (a 45-minute drive south for the historical centre) and Pereira (45 minutes north for the home of the Arabica coffee bean).
Espresso or americano? Wake up with coffee from the on-site coffee plantation, harvested by local farming communities. At this site, the team works hand-in-hand with farmers to sustainably curate traditional Colombian coffee for guests to drink.
Embrace the outdoors while staying in comfort, as this glamping site has a communal firepit area (looked over by a pretty cool sculpture), a garden restaurant serving coffee-infused cocktails (why not share your stories with other travelers?) and an outdoor swimming pool great for an impromptu dip.
Hire a bicycle from the site or get to know the lay of the land on an early morning tour. Learn about ancestral farming methods, agriculture and Colombia’s coffee history. The site also runs other daily activities. Will it be hummingbird watching in Valle del Cocora (an hour’s drive), a group visit to Salento’s artisanal market (40 minutes) or a coffee roasting workshop on site?
Handily, when you feel like venturing out for food, there are plenty of chic restaurants and bars half an hour’s walk away (or a 10-minute drive) in Filandia and there’s a supermarket five minutes’ walk away from the site.

Local attractions
Hike the day away in the nature reserve at Barbas Bremen (10 minutes’ drive), where you’ll want to keep your eyes peeled for howler monkeys and waterfalls. The Mirador de Filandia (10 minutes) is also nearby and will make you feel pretty tall with far-reaching views over the coffee region.
There's more than just hummingbird watching at the Valle del Cocora (an hour). Why not go horse riding through the valley or take a jeep ride to a local coffee plantation in Salento (40 minutes) after your hike?
All about coffee… the Cafe Colombia Park (25 minutes) is a theme park with crazy coffee-themed rides. How about a theme park crossed with a zoo? Panaca (55 minutes) has shows, themed stations and plenty of farm animals you can interact with.
If adrenaline-filled activities are your thing, there’s also Canopy Los Caracolies (an hour and five minutes) for zipwires through plantain and bamboo forests and a daring treetop course.
