Have a bonzer holiday right next to a beaut New South Wales beach at Gateway Lifestyle Beachfront Hallidays Point, a pebble throw from the Manning Valley sands of Black Head Beach, a 1.6 kilometre stretch famed for its fishing and surfing as well as its swimming. (And you might reckon the sunbathing here is pretty spectacular too...) Hallidays Point is a peaceful beachfront site, a short drive from the busy towns of Forster and Taree, and minutes from its local shopping precinct. Three and a half hours from Sydney, it's handsomely set among surrounds of rainforest and Norfolk Island Pines and has spacious, fully-serviced grass pitches. Among the many facilities at this well laid out and well-maintained park are a good-sized outdoor pool with Jacuzzi corner; a tennis court and a basketball court; a playground; a bowling green, and a games and TV room. Communal barbecue areas overlooking the pool – and you might also like to know that picnic tables are set beside the beach a short stroll away. Modern amenities blocks with free hot showers are also on site.

Three and a half hours north of Sydney, the seaside resort of Hallidays Point is a popular tourist destination for its beaches and spectacular coastline, its nature and its hikes. And its surfing – it's New South Wales, after all – and you'll likely like to try a bit of fishing in these parts too. Several trails and hikes are in the surroundings for nature spotters and ramblers, such as across Moor Creek, from Diamond beach to Shelly beach, from the Red Head Rainforest Reserve to Shelly beach or Pebbly beach, and along Black Head beach and the Black Head Flora Reserve.
