On an Albanian road trip? Set up camp at Mango Beach, 25 minutes’ drive from the historic coastal city of Fier, and you can park your campervan right next to the Adriatic Sea. As well as stunning views, this family-friendly spot has a private beach with direct access from the site, with palm-thatched umbrellas, comfortable sun loungers and private cabanas for hire. And that’s not all: there’s also a welcoming bar/restaurant overlooking the sand, where you can dine on fresh seafood or Albanian specialities like tavë kosi (baked lamb with yogurt) and fërgesë (pepper, tomato and cheese stew). The spacious and neatly maintained hardstanding pitches all offer a water supply and electric hook-ups; hot showers are available too. While you’re there, it may be tempting to laze away hours on the sand, but don’t forget that there are ancient archaeological sites, landmark monasteries and a national park within 45 minutes’ drive.

Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked The beach was superb
The owner and staff superb
The food in the bar/restaurant was superb too

Disliked The pitches and road up to the pitches are not for motorhomes.
I only have a 3.5 tonne motorhome and approaching the pitches i got stuck in the sand driveway,i wasn’t impressed as id only just arrived,6 people one shovel and two hours too free me 🤦🏻‍♂️
The facilities are awful too,as a single male a cold shower wasn’t a problem but for a family or female the toilet blocks are useless

Liked Piaszczysta plaża ,bardzo czysto utrzymana, pomimo małej ilości gości naprawdę przygotowana bardzo dobrze.Jedzenie w restauracji stosunek ceny do jakości bardzo dobry, zainteresowanie ze strony Właściciela i życzliwość do gości na +,
Dostęp do leżaków i parasoli na plaży bez dodatkowych opłat , Ogólnie miły pobyt jak będę w okolicy zajrzę tam po raz kolejny.

Disliked Minus i do poprawy sanitariaty:) Jak dla jednodniowego gościa na plaży da się przeżyć ( podstawowe potrzeby załatwić:):) ale na pobyt kilkudniowy kamperem czy przyczepą na kempingu pasowało by to poprawić.

Local attractions

For an immersion in Albanian history, UNESCO-listed Apollonia Archaeological Park (20 minutes’ drive) on the outskirts of Fier offers up ancient Greek and Roman temple remains, an amphitheatre and classical statuary in its museum. Bylis Archaeological Park (45 minutes) contains the ruins of an ancient Illyrian city and has stunning views over the Vjosë Valley. Parts of Ardenica Monastery (35 minutes) were built in the 13th century; it has ethereal frescoes and a gilded iconostasis in its peaceful church. Coming bang up to date, pay a visit to Saint George Orthodox Cathedral (25 minutes) in the centre of Fier; it was rebuilt in baroque style after the fall of communism in the late 20th century. If the kids are now fed up with old buildings, you can take a family hike on the boardwalks of Divjakë-Karavasta National Park (half an hour); you might be lucky enough to see Dalmatian pelicans or flamingos. You can also take out wooden boats to explore the wetlands and lagoons.
