  • Family-run farm campsite a mile from the Pembrokeshire coast
  • Folly Farm and Saundersfoot beach within 10 minutes' drive
  • In a handy rural spot with easy access from the A477; sea views
Pick a pitch at Pembrokeshire farm site Ser a Mor Camping and you’ll see why the owners named it after the Welsh phrase for ‘stars and sea’… This family-run site is in a countryside spot where there’s often great stargazing by night, and it’s a mere mile away from the nearest stretch of the coastline at Wiseman’s Bridge. Despite being a thoroughly rural location, this spot is easy to get to by road: it’s accessed via a country lane that links up with the A477, and there’s plenty of parking on site. You will, however, be asked to leave your car away from the camping area so that it’s all kept peaceful and safe for everyone (wheelbarrows are provided to help you transport your kit to the pitches). Guest numbers are always kept low so there's plenty of space to go around. This spacious site, which only has a limited number of allocated pitches, is set within the walled garden of the old mansion dating back to the 17th century. The ruins of the summer house can still be seen and horses live where the deer park used to be in the area next to the camping fields. It’s a handy setup here, with facilities provided in the form of individual purpose-built toilets and hot showers, a washing-up area and a covered stables where you can eat meals if the weather takes a turn. Guests have access to charging points for mobile devices; fridges, freezers, a kettle and a toaster are also available. For snacks, ice creams, marshmallows and soft drinks, just head to the small on-site shop. Barbecues are allowed only if they're kept safely raised off the grass. What to do nearby? Well, this is Pembrokeshire, so there’s plenty to pick from. Family attractions like Folly Farm and Oakwood Theme Park, castles like Carew and Manorbier, beaches at Tenby and Saundersfoot… none will take you more than 20 minutes to get to in the car. Salt & Smoke Smokery are also based on the farm, with freshly smoked salmon available to buy.

Lower paddock primitive grass tent campsite (fire ring)

Liked Great ‘out of town’ location, space between pitches, divided by mown in pitches, clean facilities, sheltered stables, great views, pleasant and peaceful. Kettle and toaster was a helpful touch.

Disliked Fire pit stone placed near the middle of the pitch leaving not much room to position larger tents, could be better placed better. Three toilets and three showers, could potentially become a problem if site is full. Fridges and freezers are dated by working.

Lower paddock primitive grass tent campsite (fire ring)

Liked The view, the mown pitch areas, the showers!! And the honestly shop is really lovely!

Disliked No hot water at the washing up station, and some traffic noise (not anything anyone can do something about!)

Lower paddock primitive grass tent campsite (fire ring)

Liked The site allowed most areas of grass to stay as meadow creating a lovely spring feel. The Cockerels became good friends around the tent. The showers were clean, spacious and worked. The toilets were clean. There was an honesty shop with essential items if you had absolutely nothing else to eat.
It wasn't overcrowded (in fact we had the entire site to ourselves, but the pitches were well designated and spacious). We were given a lovely pitch with a great view near to where I could park the motorcycle. The outhouse barn is a great location to gather with a dinning table and open window looking out onto the sea. A friendly welcome.

Disliked It is possible to hear the drone of the carriageway unfortunately. It did not spoil anything and should not stop you visiting but my wife noticed it. You would have to be extremely sensible for this to be a problem.

Primitive grass campervan campsite

Liked We loved it here! The views were beautiful and it felt very restful.
Particularly liked the honesty shop and the indoor eating space if the weather had been bad.

Disliked Couple of extra hooks in the shower rooms to hang stuff up might be good but that's being super nitpicky and wouldn't affect my overall score.

Primitive grass tent campsite (fire ring)

Liked Despite the best efforts of Storm Lillian we had a great bank holiday weekend based here. The site was very quiet, pitches are a good size and well spaced out and the facilities were excellent. Great views from the pitches and a handy location for the beaches and attractions. I could have lived without our early morning wake up call from Hei Hei but my two year old was devastated that we had to leave him behind.

Primitive grass campervan campsite

Liked The site was well maintained, and the fellow campers were friendly, having returned due to the love of this site.
It appeared basic, up on a hill with lovely views, but so much thought and attention had gone into the site.
Covered dining, washing up area, honesty shop, fridge, freezer, water…..
Most importantly very clean shower and toilet facilities.

Primitive grass tent campsite (fire ring)

Liked Loved this campsite!! Very easy to find with good signage. If staying in the traffic-free field the wheelbarrows were super useful to transport everything from the car. Loved that the grass was kept long in areas around your pitch - gave a little extra privacy. Wooden picnic bench & fire pit on each pitch - was lovely to sit around in the evening roasting marshmallows! Toilets & showers were great (lovely warm water) & very clean! Washing up area came in handy to washing dishes/cutlery after cooking. Super useful to have the communal fridges, freezers, toaster & kettle - kept all of our food fresh :) Kids loved the honesty shop - soo handy to have on site. Perfect campsite - please don’t change a thing because you’ve got this spot on!! We’re already looking to book again for in a few weeks :)
