What customers say
A peaceful, spotless park with helpful owners. Praised for spacious sites, nearby attractions, and excellent facilities. Minor suggestions: better lighting, more showers in peak season. Access is tight; Wi-Fi can be spotty. Highly recommended, many plan to revisit.

Disappointing
FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Easy drive onto pitch, tranquil site, great chippy opposite.
Disliked We believe the site has relatively recently been taken over by new management so had high hopes.
The facilities appeared to only be cleaned occasionally, the toilets had visible signs of not being cleaned regularly- the same faecal marks stayed on them for most of our 4 night stay, they also smelled.
The site charges extra for dogs, however there were no dog bins / facilities for them, which I would expect for the additional charge. Having read previous reviews of them not being emptied regularly suspect they have been removed to mitigate the smell.
The facilities themselves are basic and small, only 1 shower and a couple of toilet cubicles - having said this we didn’t encounter any other users so it wasn’t an issue. Potentially the other pitches used their own caravan facilities for most things apart from defecation. Additional money is also required to use the hair dryer.
The site generally has undergone some ‘improvements’ however these are not yet complete or have been over looked - such as a new path to the facilities- this had a very large drop to the road area and became very hazardous in the dark as the path doesn’t have lights so it was incredibly difficult to navigate at night.
The ai generated / improved photos are misleading, generally you can see somethings are degrading and need investment - old garden planters etc. are rotten and falling apart.
Overall, the site is set up to cater for the residents in caravans, it felt like the pitches were an add on to generate extra income, that don’t receive a great deal of care or attention - if this was a budget site it wouldn’t be an issue but for the premium price of the pitch, we wouldn’t be staying again.

FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Pitch was ok although easier for me in a big Motorhone with 2 habitation doors.
If I had only a passenger side door I would have needed to reverse in with a view of the dog poo bin.
Can’t blame the site at all for the lack of a water view as everywhere is dry due to the heat.
Met by a friendly lady & told what and where things are.
I found the entrance easily.
The pub right outside was lovely. I went both nights with the dog & yapped to the locals. The chippy food was very tasty.
Disliked Water tap on pitch is surrounded by bricks so awkward to get at with water bottles etc. Toilet & shower area needs a huge improvement. Dog bin needs to be moved away from the steps and peoples pitches. The biggest downside for me was the cost. At £50 per night for 1 adult and a dog I would have expected better facilities. With abit of TLC it could be very nice.
This is a £25 per night site at best - at the moment.
I wouldn’t return purely down to the cost.

Good site with small tweeks could be an excellent site
FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked The site is very peaceful and is located in a very nice rural setting. It is close to lots of interesting places. It was very quiet at night so as mentioned before very peaceful. The site was easy to find and access is very close to a main road, no small lanes to navigate.
Disliked The site facilities whilst perfectly serviceable they are not really plentiful. Only one shower each in the male and female amenity block. The site was not very busy during my stay so I did not encounter any real problems but I would imagine access to showers may be problematical during busy periods. WiFi is basically non existent on the touring pitches. I found it impossible to get a TV signal through my ariel. That maybe the equipment in my van I really don't know.
The dog poo waste bin was situated directly opposite my pitch. It was full to overflowing before it was emptied which due to the extremely hot weather caused quite a smell. You also have to pass right by the bin on the way up to the toilet. Probably need re-siting or emptying more regularly
