This countryside site is an excellent spot for anyone looking to unwind surrounded by Pembrokeshire greenery: Oaklea Camping and Glamping Park is in a central spot surrounded by the Pembrokeshire countryside, and its coast and towns. The Daugleddau estuary is also close by, with yet more great places for walkers to explore. Oklea Camping and Glamping Park is a small site with spacious pitches. Dogs are welcome, as long as they're kept on a lead (and booked for the dog-friendly pitch types only - they're not permitted in the shepherd's huts). Handily, the site has a designated dog exercise area where they can run free under the supervision of their owner. When you're ready to get out and explore, this is an excellent spot to reach the walks, beaches and castles that Pembrokeshire’s famed for. Get as sandy and muddy as you like, safe in the knowledge that back on site is a toasty heated bathroom with hot showers.

Liked Lovely site.
The owners are very friendly and welcoming.
Very clean and spacious pitches.
Has a fridge/ freezer and microwave for people to use, as well as fire pits logs and sticks.
Could not fault this site at all.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked The pitch had its own water supply. The washing facilities with toilets inside. Friendly owners. When you first arrive your pitch number is chalked on a board so no confusion. Large space between pitches. The proximity to places of interest. WiFi

Disliked Our pitch was on quite a slope, especially in the awning everything slid off the table. Luckily the weather was hot so we ate outside.
Great signs up to the site but the bit where you turn into site needs better signage, we always missed the turning in,it needs a sign on the right hand side to be clear. Quite pricey compared to other sites we’ve been on but not in this area.

Liked Beautiful campsite, hosts are very welcoming and friendly, if you have an issues they are more than willing to help you. The campsite is absolutely spotless, showers and toilets are very clean, fridge / freezers, and washing machine on site which is very handy. We will definitely be back in the future. They also have a lovely games room as well. The campsite is also very peaceful and quiet.

Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked We absolutely loved this site. It was well off the beaten track so super peaceful, but only a 20 min drive to Tenby or Saundersfoot. The pitches are really spacious, which in turn means the site isn’t over-crowded, and there is lots of green space for children to play that other sites would just fill with tents, adding more to the spacious feel of the place. The facilities are modern and were spotlessly clean regardless of the time of day or night we used them. There is even a very large indoor games room and conservatory with lots of tables and chairs should the weather change for the worst. Lots of fridge/freezer space and logs for sale for firepits. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and always available should you need.

Shepherd's hut (no pets)

Liked Brilliant site and lovely staff that look after the site. Close to local amenities, pubs and beaches

We stayed in the Shepard Hut (3 people) and there was plenty of space. Also had ice in the freezer so that was brill!

You’ve got to catch a castle or few if you come to these parts – Pembrokeshire’s dotted with fine examples. With a drive of 20 minutes or so you can take in the ruins of Carew Castle (often handsomely reflected in the neighbouring mill pond), stroll around seaside Manorbier Castle or head to Pembroke to see the fortress where Henry VII was born. And you’ve got to take in a beach or few too. There are the traditional resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot (20 minutes’ drive), many surfers' favourite spot Freshwater West (half an hour) and the utterly gorgeous Barafundle Bay, often tipped as one of the world’s best (half an hour). Birdwatching boat trips to Skomer from Dale and dolphin-spotting safaris from St Davids are both about 45 minutes away.
