  • Well-maintained and peaceful park a mile and a half from the coast
  • Indoor heated pool, play area and coffee shop
  • Welcoming tavern bar with log fire and vintage cinema
A royally scenic and relaxing time should be had at small, very quiet and family-run Little Kings Park at Ludchurch – it's a mile and a half from the coast at Amroth, 10 minutes' drive to Saundersfoot, 15 to Tenby, and has south-facing sea views from the park spanning the whole of Carmarthen Bay from Monkstone Point to the Gower Peninsula. The friendly owners here have set everything up with a lot of care and attention, from the immaculate showers and toilets, to the trim lawns and flowers all around, to the amicably atmosphered tavern bar, which has a log fire and serves a great range of local ales and other drinks. And here's a fabulous extra: upstairs there's a vintage cinema room (plush velvet seats, popcorn and all…) that shows films at weekends and through the holidays. Kids also have a games room, adventure play park and football field to kick around in, while water buffs of all sizes can splash around on site too in the heated indoor pool, suitable for guests with reduced mobility (seasonal opening times apply). Also on site is a shop stocked with the essentials and – a very nice touch indeed while on holiday – freshly baked warm bread and croissants available to buy every morning.

Liked Friendly staff
Extremely well run site
Great facilities - especially swimming pool, shop and showers
Within a short drive of lots of beaches and things to see and do
Child-friendly and family centered

Disliked Just a suggestion- would be nice to have the pitches separated from each other by privacy barriers if some kind - whether hurdle fences, hedges or shrubs.

Liked So much to do so the kids can still have fun even in the rain. Very clean and beautiful. The pool was lovely and warm like bath water. The changing rooms were so cute and I loved the vintage cinema! Such a cool and lovely idea. The toilets and showers were close and everything was within walking distance.
The indoor play area was so cute and the kids loved it and thought it was so cool. The outdoor park was big with a range of activities with a picnic table.
The holiday park is well looked after

Disliked No cash points on site and wasn't told before hand or whilst checking in. I only stayed a night so didn't need a barrier pass (the lady at the desk said this to me) so I agreed as I had no intention of going anywhere so was unable to leave to go to the nearest cash machine for the kids to enjoy the arcade. Shop and pool times could be open longer.
Not much choice for food if the shop is closed if the pop up food places are not to your liking.
The pitches were too close together.

Liked There was nothing not to like! The indoor pool was heated and although it can get crowded at busy times that wasn't really an issue for us. The tavern is fab, vintage cinema which the kids loved, it shows 3 films a night. As well as that there is a kids indoor game area with arcade games, pool table etc. The staff are so helpful, welcoming and friendly. Facilities are kept to a very high standard, all the communal areas were very clean and had everything you needed. They have a quiet time curfew at 10pm and so we slept well every night. The food trucks that visit were great quality food and we had breakfast from the on site bakery one morning which was a lovely treat. Pitches were spacious, plenty of room between you and your neighbour. A real family feel to the place!

Disliked WiFi only available in the tavern and pool area but that wasn't really an issue, signal is fine elsewhere.

Liked Great facilities, very well kept park.

Disliked Was unhappy being placed right next to the play area, even though we were a party of 4 adults with no children.
We listened to screaming and shouting children from as early as 7am every day. The 10pm rule of silence was adhered to, surely there should also be a morning curfew.
Our caravan was hit on a few occasions with a football, although it says on the site rules that only soft ball games were allowed in that area.

Our car had to be parked on a grass verge right next to the road with speed bumps which children were using as bike/scooter ramps, our car got scratched on a couple of occasions when children fell off or swerved . The screaming and shouting continued throughout these activities too.

We cannot fault the site for its amenities, they were fantastic, very well laid out and lots on offer.
We just didn’t enjoy our holiday as much as we should have, it was not the relaxing break we anticipated due to the constant screaming and shouting which parents didn’t keep in check. We only heard one parent shout “stop screaming” the whole time we were there. I love hearing the sound of children play but there is absolutely no need for screaming unless in danger, I wish parents would teach this. Also on the rules, it states that children should be supervised, this again wasn’t followed by most, some parents did supervise but an awful lot didn’t .

Liked •The pool
•The games area (football field etc)
•Free table tennis and darts
•The size of the pitches
•The view
•The cinema in the evenings for the children
•The verity of food trucks from day to day.
•Close to local beaches

Disliked •How close the pitches are together
•Toilet facilities are quite small (3 toilets and 3 showers in male bathrooms) - gets quite busy at peak times and can get a little dirty during these times too.
•No baby change in some of the family bathrooms

Local attractions

It's a matter of minutes in the car from Little Kings Park to get to fantastic family days out around Pembrokeshire's beaches, coastline and theme parks, with loads more within easy reach. Award-winning Folly Farm is five minutes' drive away from the park and the thrill rides of Oakwood Theme Park at Narberth within about five miles; the wooden rollercoaster here has been lauded as one of the best in Europe, so go to give it a whirl for yourself. At Tenby 15 minutes from base, there are three days out the kids will probably insist on: Heatherton World of Activities – archery, paintball and go-karts among much more; Manor House Wildlife Park – rhinos, ostriches and a wallaby walkway; and the Dinosaur Park, also including volcanic golf, a pets' corner and indoor play. Several more days should then be had on the cracking Pembrokeshire coastline; the views and waters in this part of the world are topping. At Amroth, look for the ancient petrified forest poking out from the long stretch of sand at low tide; at Saundersfoot, scramble over the rocks and dip into the rockpools; and at Tenby, trek the two and a half miles of sandy beach before a trip to monastic Caldey Island.
