  • Small, peaceful farm site in gorgeous North Pembrokeshire countryside
  • A 10-minute drive to Newgale beach, and 20 minutes to St Davids
  • Wild camping with an on-site shop for coffee, cake and everyday basics
The Paddock Camping is a small farm site in gorgeous North Pembrokeshire countryside. It’s a wonderfully family-friendly place with a well-stocked farm shop on hand to keep you supplied with local produce for the barbecue. Here, you’re in pole position to explore the Welsh coastline. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park has many scenic hikes, from breathtaking sea and headland views along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path (20 minutes’ drive) to circular walks better suited to kids. And bikers, this site makes a clever base for cycling tours of the region. You can choose to laze around on North Pembrokeshire beaches like Newgale (10 minutes’ drive) and Whitesands Bay (20 minutes), or up the adrenaline factor and try surfing, coasteering or wild swimming in sheltered coves. As well as the sprawling cathedral, the mini-city of St Davids (20 minutes) is the departure point for boat cruises to remote islands like Ramsey and Skomer, and there are cute, waterfront towns like Porthclais to potter around. In keeping with the wild camping vibe here, there are a few facilities (a loo block and recycling) but no hot water. And as this is a dark site, please bring a torch to prevent mishaps at night.

What customers say

This peaceful, small campsite offers a tranquil escape with friendly, hospitable hosts. Guests highlight the clean, modern facilities including a great shower and dishwashing area with hot water. The on-site farm shop is a popular bonus, selling local produce and coffee. Pitches are level and spacious, situated in a pretty meadow. While generally praised for its simplicity and location, some suggest more showers may be needed during peak season. Visitors widely express a desire to return.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed our time here. We were the only people there for 2 nights which was nice to have the field and facilities to ourselves. The couple at the farm shop were very accommodating and we got to meet and hold some chickens!

Disliked The facilities were abit untidy

Primitive grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Of all the places we stayed on our week tour of Pembrokeshire this was our favourite new discovery. It is simple and for wild campers. However it has a lovely little farm shop which does coffee in the morning and sells local produce. It also has nice toilets and a great shower. Basically all you need. I love it here and will be coming back again.

Disliked I know it’s a wild camp but with long hair I need to use my hairdryer after a shower. This is a personal thing and nothing to do with the place. I loved it.

Primitive grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Really peaceful tranquil camping site. A pretty middle meadow with wild flowers growing all around. We were there for only one night but enjoyed a peaceful rest before going onto our Ferry crossing to Ireland. The campsite owner was friendly and helpful.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Level pitches mown out of a lovely meadow. Clean facilities. The most elegant washing up station we've ever seen on a campsite (it's also sheltered and has hot water!) Farm shop with everything you might expect, also an exceptional range of jams and pickles. Not to mention the lovely couple who run the site. A great base from which to explore North Pembrokeshire!

Liked Absolutely loved our stay. Lucky enough to stay when the place was empty! Toilets and shower were clean and lovely hot water. Got to hang out with their lovely cat all night and morning and some time to play with their dogs! Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back.
